/\ motor is ready to go in tomorrow .
That 4 rotor would do just nicely - I believe Mad Mike is fitting it to an rx8 to use as a drift car ....

Motor is in but I had a bit of a c**k up and my ex. manifold is not ready yet -so wont be able to finish till monday at earliest .

Meanwhile I have bought some parts (thanks to Yushi for the good deal)

*put some near new stock coils and upgraded leads in (are you listening MYSQL?)
*Upgraded to blue injectors in the P2 position
*Fitted oil sandwhich plate (for guages etc.)
*Fixed my turbo inlet so now i can go back to stock pulleys (clearance issue)
*fix my leaking ex manifold (hopefully)

Looking forward to getting back in it again

you forgot to about the say autoexe spark leads which are great.

does spark leads do the following stuff

Sports Plug Cord
The ignition electric power of spark plug is enhanced as much as 20 to 30 times by wrapping the stainless core around the Kevlar tempered fiberglass so that the power and the fuel consumption can be improved. For the noise of the radio that tends to be generated when the resistance is lowered, the proper measures are taken by the core wrapped around in a spiral manner for containment with twofold silicone.

It lives !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111++++++++

Had a real *** of a job getting it started , and when I did get it started it would not restart . Yushi had to push start me a few times .Now after doing a few kms it is getting better and better - possibly the apex seals bedding in .
Anyone know if this is common after a rebuild ?

Common? No.

There isn't really any "bedding" of sealing components.
You probably just had a ton of assembly lube and junk to burn through.

could be the stock coils are not as good as the Mazsports perhaps ?

Cold start is fine - it is only when hot . I'm not talking a long time to start .
I'm used to the car starting instantly - now it is more like 2 seconds of cranking ...

The coils i have are near new (5-6000kms) stock ones

vac is same as old motor - 17"Hg or thereabouts . Fuel trims are same as old motor as well - although I have fixed the high LTFT problem I had by dialing in neg. fuel in closed loop .

Was thinking i would take it easy this time around but hp is addictive and I really wanted to get the most out of what I have sooooo.......

I'm almost positive I know why it blew last time - combination of:

high IATs (and high EGTs )
Turbo too far out of its range producing very hot air
Running too lean for the above conditions

So this time :
Running way richer in the higher rpms to help with cooling where the turbo goes out of its range
Advanced the timing a little per MMs suggestion
dropping the psi way back as the turbo goes off the map - see black line below and compare with red map
Also ramping up the psi fairly gradually for streetability ...
Blue injectors in P2 position have had the desired effect as the secondaries are down from 100% duty to 90%

Car is running sweet (apart from the starting issue)
The pressure drop is from 6000rpm onwards so i'm getting a real kick in the backside from 4500 to 6000 after which it tapers back from being f'n fast to just bloody fast

Just make sure you are advancing it after the torque peak.

Actually, to start out, I'd only do about 11° at that point and then start advancing it above 6800 RPM out to 21° or so at redline.
You will probably end up adding 4° - 5° on top of that, depending on fuel quality.
