Any idea on the whiney sound before I start the car, thats the one I don't recognize.
Although its been about 10 months so Its probably a normal sound I just don't remember it.
FYI this was a hot start, but it makes the sound regardless. Its not the TB, ABS or air pump I do know that.

I have had this happen too... but you got lucky with a warning.
Cop pulled me over for 11 over, after I sign the ticket he proceeds to say " really nice car man, what all you have done to it" I gave him an eat **** look and said "enough".. He said "ok" and walked away....

Round 2
Its noticeable more towards the end, it sounds like a trashed pilot bearing but only does it when in gear and under load. Going to take my syncro saver off later tonight and see if they are just vibrating against each other. When I push the shifter down slightly the noise disappears.
I have narrowed it down to either the syncro saver or the axial flow shifter, which I noticed has a lot more backlash on the s2 than on my s1 version which might be coming into play also.
Looking for some outside opinions on this one.
Also took her for a 250 mile cruise out to the lake yesterday, A/F seems lean at 14.2:1 I did see some spikes around 11:1 also. Not sure if this is normal.
I know their are a lot of different break in procedures, I am basically just taking her easy until 500 miles, then oil change, then will continue normal (not aggressive) driving untill 1000 miles. Then I will consider it broken in. At that point in time I assume its good enough to go for a dyno day. Considering that I have a lot of miles planned this weekend I might be able to get a pull or two by the end of next week!

Yup, By the time I found one used, paid for shipping. then realized it probably needs a rebuild. Then realized Mazda can't rebuild a trans fro Sh*t. It was the best option. If you are asking about the price.
If you are referencing the video, My only concern is 1.5 quarts seems low for this trans, the fill plug is not even halfway up it and you can fill threw the shifter. Seems contradictory!
