Compressor Surge

I just installed the Cobb Accessport so I needed to re-circulate my BOV. Now I’m getting a loud flutter noise every time I release the gas to shift. The noise gets louder and more obnoxious when I shift in boost. I currently have the MM Base map on right now so I didn’t go much higher than 1 psi. I’m sure it would be even louder if I went any higher. Due to the location and direction of the BOV and recirculation fitting on the Mazsport CAI, I had to pull off about a 180 degre angle as seen in the picture. The only thing that has changed aside from the EMU to Cobb is the recirc tube so I’m pretty sure that’s the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the flutter? I have a Greddy Turbo kit, synchronic BOV, and afore mentioned Mazsport CAI. Sorry for the picture I had to use my cell phone.

I'll try that tomorrow but I've been told the car won't run right or even at all when the AccessPort and VTA Synchronic BOV are used together.

what kind of bov? recirculating won't cause compressor surge. If anything, recirculating usually makes the car run much more quiet.

ah, then it's not compressor surge. synchronic only seals shut when there is boost.

"Flutter" at only 1 PSI is meaningless.
You will find it will get LESS fluttery as you add boost.

I'm not sure what did the trick but thanks to Synapse Tech Support I changed to slightly larger ID vacuum hoses and loosened the screw in the back of the BOV and the sound is gone now. In fact, I can barely hear the BOV at all!

MazdaManiac: Will I need to redo my two log files or should we be good with the ones I sent you? My inspection sticker is already past due and I'd hate to loose my spot on your list.
