It's not that turbos are more popular, Nelson. It is that nitrous does not operate on the concept of mass-airflow like a turbo kit does so we must use other methods to control the ignition system. To be frank, if you want to spend the money to get a GReddy Ultimate EMS you can easily achieve those higher shots you are seeking. You will also need to figure out, on your own, how much alteration of the factory ignition timing curve you will need in order to accomodate said higher shots. Otherwise, we at BHR will be subjecting our own engines to the testing involved in figuring out how much alteration is needed to accomodate shots as high as 125-150 h.p. and, when our product comes out that will make the whole process much easier for you, it will cost 1/2-1/3 that of the GReddy Ultimate. Patience with BHR will payoff for everybody, like it always does.
I am almost tempted to try for the larger shots myself. I have alot of friends who know tunign quite well and also are really good with nitrous. The only thing holdine me back is that all there tuning and nitrous experience is not with a rotary. I do not know if we woudl come acrost something differnt then a piston eninge in the tuning process. However, nitrous should act the same in all types of motors. Its just what i feel like i am willing to risk when it comes down to it. I have had the emanage on my car twice now. I guess a third time could be comeing sometime in the future.

IMO blowing the upper intake has nothing to due with the tuning of the vehivle. That has to do with operator error. The intake tends to blow when you spray nitrous at to low of an rpm causing the motor to not take in all the nitrous. So, as far as a larger shot goes, a stronger intake woudl not help at all.

The thing about an AT is that you can floor it off the line with a shot and TC and DSC off and smoke the tires for thirty feet.
Now when you do this, if for some strange reason the tires stop spinning and start hooking up before the torque peak. Well,, suddenly the engine loads up, rpms start dropping and the next thing you know ,,,BOOM!
Suddenly you've created a simple cannon out of the UIM.
Well,,,, barely open throttle butterfly. No manifold vacuum. Explosion. Path of least resistance for the ever expanding very lean air fuel mixture.
It breaks the plastic manifold.
Now consider an aluminum manifold. Hmmmmm. Path of least resistance.
BHR is.

You might be able to get flashed for less timing, but that's gonna hurt your drivability when not on the NOS...
116 octane race gas may allow you to go to a 75 or 90 shot.
Again, check with Ray....
On the "blowing up intakes"; If I ran nitrous, I would want it as Ray sets it, but with an extra requirement for nitrous to come on:
The normal is:
System is armed
Gas is available
Nitrous is available
Throttle is Wide open
RPM is at least a certain rpm
I would add a last requirement of a momentary button, to stop any chance of NO2 being feed for the instant when the throttle is first backing off.

i'm most likely going to go nitrous as for power once i'm done staying stock, watching the nitrous activity and productivity grow is interesting...can we nitrous it, yes we can, more nitrous? lets try it.
by the way...anyone know who is putting out the most power on the renesis?
