So if Mazda is going by the air flow meter signal to regulate the OMP, if someone goes into limp mode could this sensor be the culprit and not necessarily the OMP?

Don't think the MAF puts the car into limp mode..I ran mine without a MAF and the throttle still worked

Get a used pump and swap it out...that way you will know for sure it is OK Once you play with the switch and it doesn't work it is the only way to be sure

Did GTAW ever get this to work? I sold someone an OMP and wiring harness section per his intent to do this. He's getting limp mode and questioning whether the OMP is good. Everything was fine when it came out with the engine, so I'm inclined to not think the OMP or switch as the issue.

After some thought following his issue inquiry and also my own experience with setting the OMP switch position in another thread on this subject, I'm now questioning if the OMP can function properly without being bolted in place on the engine or what it takes to make it do so.

I would like to know as well, I noticed a month or so back that my SOHN reservoir was not draining as usual. So I started premixing about 12-14oz (up from 8oz) a tank to compensate. I took the OMP off, checked all the lines, etc. and everything seems fine and I am not getting any CEL's. But I did find out that the OMP can fail any not really trip any codes. So I looked into to buying a new OMP but they are freaking expensive so in the meantime I will premix this way.

When I changed my plugs I had a decent amount of oil residue on them so I assume the premixing is working but I am a little worried. Should I be? Or do you think 1oz per gallon is sufficient?

1 oz per gallon should be ok unless you are tracking? Track guys run more than that(w/o omp)
bunch of rx7 guys do 1 oz per gallon--but that is a different engine.
I would not do partial throttle high rpm's
OD

No right now I am not tracking, I wanna get this sorted first. I talked to Richard Sohn and assured me that it could be the adapter and I double checked all the hoses, etc and there are no clogs anywhere so it must be the OMP. But there is no CEL.
