Dyno tune Greddy kit?

Dyno tune Greddy kit?
Has anyone custom tuned their Greddy kit on a dyno yet? It looks as though I may have to since I have the N flash, and I am curious if they were able to get anymore than the typical 240hp out of it and how much you paid. Also, if anyone is familiar with northern Va or MD can anyone suggest a good tuner shop.

try Altered Atmosphere up 270 in Gaithersburg - they did an amazing job on my car (took a while, but the work was fantastic and it feels like the turbo came stock)
As far as dynoing, its gonna depend on what dyno you're using, your wheels, etc . . . . the only numbers you should pay attention to are your start and finish - I started at 170 and ended at 220 (this is with huge 285s in the back, no exhaust or anything else - just pure turbo kit).
Most of the guys with more than 240 are running more boost and have other bolt ons.

They're great for suspension setups though.
Altered Atmosphere has the most experience in the area with rotaries - they tuned one guy's GReddy kit, installed and tuned a custom kit, and tuned my RX-8 - they also tuned my RX-7, and several others, but Mike isn't very good with the PowerFC - he's great with e-manage/s-afc.

Hey CRETINX -
What did they do for you at Altered? Who worked on your car (Mike, Randy, etc.)?
When did you go there and why wasn't I contacted? :p
I go there to use the dyno, but I am a little leary of having them actually touch the car. They actually have very little experience with rotary motors and the dyno wasn't able to get a reliable RPM signal from the coils on my car or Jon's (philodox), making it difficult to get any useful numbers.
I am going to EIP in a few weeks to take another stab at some real, useful numbers.

KD Rotary, though further away in the Allentown, PA area, is well worth the drive. I used to go to them years ago. Dave really knows what he's doing and is great to work with.

Mazda Maniac, can my mechanic call you or you call me and I'll give you his number? I have the GREDDY kit installed with a Type RS BOV and when I get to high RPM's the car seems like its starving for something and my boost sucks? I'm usually sitting around 3-4 psi...I'm ordering the E-Manage tool today. My number is 701-741-6510

...but what was your trap speed? My first time drag racing my old boosted Ford Probe GT, I went 15.00 - but at 100mph. Just giving out an ET won't help people diagnose what may be the problem. Chances are, it's the driver, frankly.
Launch...learn to launch.

They didn't tell me they had any problems getting a reliable signal from my car. I dynoed around 220.
Where's EIP? I'm considering going to Agile Auto just because they're so much cheaper. I'm also told Turbo Performance did a lot of work on RX-7s and Porsche Turbos so they're good to go to, but Altered is near the Metro and the least disruption to my life, plus these guys treated me right - they even got me a rental when the car took longer than they planned.

THey got you a rental? This doesn't even sound like the same shop. What were you paying them?

try Car Version 2 in wilmington, delaware. they do a lot of tuning and performance work, and they have a dyno, and are pretty knowledgable. i have a buddy that works there part time wrenching on cars, and he has a ton of experience, from his grand national, building a bu-tang (grand national motor in a ford mustang), master mechanic for lexus, building his own turbo civic, etc.

EIP is in Westminister, Maryland. It is west of Baltimore.

I'm in the DC Metro so Baltimore alone is a hike for me. I need to be near metrorail access.
I paid them $5300 installed and custom tuned.
The rental wasn't in the initial plans, but they were having trouble getting the oil line to stay so instead of giving me the car they decided to work on it an extra day and get me a rental.

They didn't "tune" anything. They watched me tune. If I thought that my experience was going to be used to bolster their ability to extract money from customers, I would have demanded a cut of the action.
Exactly how did the "custom tune" your kit? They don't have any E-Manage experience and they don't have the software. They aren't even a Greddy Authorized dealer. You paid then $2300 to install the kit, which I guess is acceptable, but I'd want to see the MAPs myself before I accepted that they "tuned" your system.

and yes this is my first time at the track

99mph for 3200lbs (with driver?)...I'd guess about 215-225 HP at the wheels....
