I just find it funny that everytime you have your car dyno'd its some excuse why it didnt make more power.

If i recall correctly you said you had a clogged fuel pump before.

You don't appear to believe me. Why don't you ask Scott, since he was the one who dynoed my car and had to stop tuning it because of the clog. He also was the one who replaced the clogged filter.

OK? Then why hasnt someone been able to do it? The turbo has been out long enough. Theres plently of intelligent people who own this turbo, so wheres all the dyno charts?

im not saying your lying. Im just saying you keep saying "well now ive switched this and this i MIGHT get this"

and scott tuned your car with the 3071, why didnt he get the numbers out of it that time?

You haven't answered why you think the 3071R isn't capable of doing 350 whp.

I've already explained that I'm waiting for the turboxs before I hit the dyno again. I'm not going to rush things because you think the greddy turbo is on par with what I have

If you bothered reading my posts, you'd see that I didn't guess at what numbers I would be making. I simply stated there were a few changes and we'll see what we get when we get it. You seem to be flaming me for no apparent reason with gibberish.

You're the one who brought up the clogged fuel pump. That happened with the greddy turbo. Scott had nothing to do with the 3071R.

9 psi at over 300 whp is something the greddy is not capable of doing, even with a different wheel installed. Additionally where the 3071R shines is the increase in torque. It generates 30-40 tq more at the same psi as the greddy.

My last post on this topic since we have a 3071R hater here:

http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=127166
http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f169...s-here-196553/
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=MS3

etc.

For 350-400 whp on pump gas, the 3071R is the fastest spooling turbo available, which is why it's so popular for MS3, MS6, SRT4's, etc.

With high exhaust flow car like the RX-8, even more so.

Maybe not at 9psi but i but it will with more boost.

Show me the dyno's im not a hater.. but im not buying into it until i see hard facts.

Even with more boost, you still would be hard pressed to generate the same torque levels. I made 210 tq peak at 9 psi on the greddy.

You also still miss out on the fact that charge temps are LOWER on the 3071R. This means that the 3071R can use higher PSI than with the greddy. There is no way to play catch up, and the flow rates are much higher too!

We're dangerously off topic. Only thing I can say is that if I don't get the turboXS before a local dyno meet, I will dyno my car before, and then after. That will at least give us a benchmark for power increase of 2.5" to 3.0"

thats fine, then i will order one too

Im not trying to rub off as an A$$ and im not a 3071 hater by any means i know what it is capable of.

Nah, it's fine to not buy into hype. It's also good not to be among the first to buy a new product.

Fortunately for a turbo, we only need to know the flow rates, and if it's a quality turbo or not. Since this one flows amazingly and is a real Garrett ball bearing turbo, there isn't much to question.

I hope Kane does a dyno soon.

thread jacking.......ok guys, let's be in the the topic the causes of limited boost.

fremann said it was may be the faulty spring pressure.

it might be,....

but, this weekend, i will try to get my exhaust up and i will let people know.

mysql, it seems that a lot of people don't like your set up hahaha
from the threads that i have read, people try to challange you....let it be...

I think removing the small primary and moving the remaining injectors up, and adding a 730 cc at the end will ultimately be the most popular, and one of the most cost effective. So stock is 290/380/380, the upgraded path would be 380/380/730.

I can't help it if people didn't research before buying.

I have no allegiance to anything. If it sucks, I toss it and replace it with something better. This should be evident from my owning 3 different BOVs, 4 different exhaust systems, etc.

it will come back. by the way, about the exhaust who ever wants to know, it's still under thinking, and i will find out when i get my straight pipe. ut at the same time if people notice that RP supercat is 3", it shouldnt have any problem, and i call RX7 store today, and he said that someone ran 9 psi with HIGH Flow Cat. so i am debating now if htere is a problem with my boost controller or with my exhaust. i will post soon.

the exhaust isn't the problem. As I said earlier, I am running 2.5" all the way through and I make a ton of power.

If your exhaust is clogged, then it would be a problem. Just unbolt it and look at the cat/midpipe/highflow cat/whatever

Did you buy the GReddy kit new or used?

If you've tightened the wastegate lever down all the way, then try something truly dangerous to see what boost you're making: unplug the wastegate actuator vacuum hose from the boost controller and cap it. That will give you all the boost the turbo is capable of provided that the wastegate isn't buggered.

Oh, and here's the proof of what power the 3071r will generate: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...30/GT3071R.htm

i beleive agency power come from the midpipe all the way to teh catback. i heard that it's cateless and it will sound loud.
just incase, according to ppl who heard my car and other RX8 and my opinion, the best combination for NA in exhaust system for sound is BORLA + RP supercat.

for turbo, this set up is really quite. it sounds like stock when it's idle.
