I think I'll subscribe here. This rehash thread has the potential of being a real barn burner. Some of the last 20 or so similar threads have been. I'll throw my 2 cents in now then run and hide since I'm out gunned.
The Pettit Supercharger has been the best solution for me. Need more info for your needs.

you said 'best', which can mean different things. Bang for the buck is different than most complete or most powerful.
Mazsport gets you the most complete, most powerful with brand name parts that carry warranties.

What do you mean by lag?
Almost every turbo kit makes a lot of boost (some even make full boost) by 3,200 - 4,000 rpm. Given a situation where you want a lot of power, you just make sure you're at 3k rpm and you are golden. Now, if you're in 6th gear at 2,000 rpm and slam on the throttle, you'll get lag, but you'd also be a moron.

See boost lag (or lack thereof) on crappy cell video - keep in mind this is my wife driving so she isn't really stomping on it.

Can I be in the gang?!!
To the OP, I would recommend searching more. This has been beaten to death. The is no singular BEST solution. Every system is different and thus has it's advantages and disadvantages and suits each aspect in a different way, plus everyone has their own preferences. It all boils to down to what you want and how much you want to spend
