Fuel pump for FI
Hi guys, it's clear that my pump is failling and I found it out from a hard way, but without blowing my engine. Thanks god.
The question here is, I have got few inputs from certain people toward the pump, but if anybody has upgraded fuel pump for FI, please let me know or post it here, the brand the type or everything....my AFR gauge saved my car because I notice that it went lean and it felt like out of gas and died on me.
Anyone has advice? Just looking around becauseni need to make a purchase anyway tonight. Thank you
Steven

Steve,
I thought about that possibility last night knew it couldnt be injectors but then thought maybe fuel pump the exhaust didnt have the normal fuel smell either like it was chocking. How did you figure it out? I think im going to order the walbro from BHR today as well. Ill need it if i want over 300hp later. Like you said bro at lest you didnt lose the engine always good to pay attention.

updates....
so the sympthoms were really like a failure pump, but finally my mechanic openned the fuel pump, and we found out that the filter in the pump is black.
i have been using the Premix from Pettit all the times, but as we read that if we use some premix, one of the drawback is the filter is black......
i have been using this for 20K miles....you guys can see...
by the way, my fuel pump is mazsport fuel pump with return line....
i took some pictures before cleanned and after....
please, i don't judge anything, but i learn things from my experience.
now, i didn't change the pump, and my car is running beautiful again.

I wouldnt be so quick as to blame the premix as I would the known issue with that pump..

what else can clogged the filter?
can anybody ever open the pump after more than 20K miles of constantly, constantly, premix?
if you do have some people, let me know
i am not blaming premix, but make sure people are aware, maybe not premix toooo much into the gas tank....

may be it is the pump, but we will see how it is after cleanning it since i didn't have time since i bought it first, and i have had it for 20K miles, and lately i have the problem...if it comes up again, i will be sure that it will be the pump
