what if we instal another submersible fuel pump where the siphon picks up fuel in the other side of the tank to fill the fuel pump assembly when on track, with a switch, and leave it off on road?

Basically that's what I have done...I have the second pump dump into the bowl in the main pump...I still have the suction assembly functional.

It still will let you only get to about 1/8 tank...but it's better than the 1/2 tank fail that can happen worst case

I've seen the Aeromotive 340 mentioned in 2 models on here, the 11141 and the 11142. Which one is the one for a 2007 rx8? I had the bhr one put in a yr ago and its failing on the top end so I need a drop in.

I have had the aeromotive 11142 installed about 2 months ago. It was done as a preventative measure as the original pump was 9 yrs old with dozens of track days without a hiccup. The only problem I used to have was fuel starvation on the bend at the track when i got below quarter tank.

New pump is going well and passed the track test recently on my supercharged motor.

Good to hear. I've been eyeing the aeromotive for a long time. Question, are you guys still melting the pop off valve on the fuel pump assembly?

My stock fuel pump died at 90,000 miles. I replaced it with a BHR pump in August. The replacement pump worked great, however, on really hot days after a long drive it would be a little loud. Now, a couple of days ago, the pump got very loud, but the temps outside are only in the 60s (40's in the morning.)

Is this normal or is the pump dying already?

Hi guys,

I haven't been able to find any info on the Walbro 400lph.

Has anyone used this before?
Do you know if it is a drop in like the Aeromotive Stealth 340 - 11142?

Also, I have put in a 13B series 6 RX7 engine with a T77 turbo. Do I need to add a return fuel line when upgrading the pump?

Put in a new aeromotive pump, cleared up all my problems, sad that black halo pumps dont last 1 yr. Had to have it reinvented and now smooth as silk.
Ya'll can send me back 350.00 dollars anytime ya think. I asked and you told me here on the forum, OH YA no problemo. LMAO
Never AGAIN from ya chump company. Even if it is better.

Eventually put in a Walbro 255 high pressure pump. Relatively simple install after you get the retainer ring off. Going to tune and see how it copes.

there web page advises against it.

My Walbro is has been getting louder...probably going to fail soon or so i hear.

What is wrong with direct swapping the Aeromotive pumps? I was thinking of giving the aeromotive a try next.

So has anyone put the aeromotive 11141 in their na rx8...i'm wondering if anyone has noticed it running really rich, even with the regulator?

Unless it overwealms the pressure regulator it shouldn't result in mixture changes...way to tell that is to jumper the pump into high speed mode and check the fuel pressure..if it is higher than it should be...ie 70psi or so at idle than the regulator can't keep up and bypass enough fuel to keep the pressure from rising

Otherwise the fuel pressure won't change with a higher output pump....so the mixture won;'change

When installing the areomotive pump do you use the factory electrical connection or do you cut that and splice in the included connector?
