That was the worst CAT I hav ever seen! The CAT was definetly a problem, restricting airflow 80%. The problem still is not solved but after driving the car again we realized that if you accelerate 3/4ths throttle until it starts acting up and then back off a little bit and mat it again it flys, and a whole lot harder than it ever did before. We think all the back pressure caused by the CAT backfeed the system and popped something loose like on of those rubber couplings or something, I will know by tomorrow night, I'll check it all tomorrow.

i am glad we help get you all figured out, even if it was semi indirectly through my own problem. :D :D :D shame you wont be able to get the cat covered under warranty though, considering you have the turbo.

No leaks, but think we found the problem while checking for leaks. If you pop the hood, put the car in the on position but don't crank it, can you hear a whinning noise coming from the motor that controls the throttle body plate? Also does the plate open and close equal to pedal movement? Mine makes whinning noise that I haven't noticed coming from it before and doesn't follow motion equal to the pedal, I think the throttle plate motor is messed up, and is on its way to being dead.

????

The whining noise is probably due to the "jet air fuel mixture" hose. On the 3 hoses that are attached to your intake pipe/ intake, crimp each one and see if the "whining" gets quieter. If so, it's normal and that's not the prob.

How long have you had the turbo? When I first put mine on the car it smelled for awhile, all the new gaskets and stuff getting burnt...

alright that's what just happened to me today. I'm trying to load a new map and it's looks like it did but now my E-01 sends an error 03:0387 out as soon as it comes on. Any idea as to why? It also says that it cant communicate with the emanage.

don't attempt to communicate with the emanage through the e-01, my e-01 has the wrong software on it and when I tried to connect to the emanage it would give me an error and thats when the map got erased.

I sent in my SD card to Greddy because Benny said it needed new software loaded to work with the RX8 emanage. Well, it still didn't work because my map was also erased when trying to use the E-01 emanage screen.
