[QUOTE=guitarjunkie28]petrus, i think snoochie is actually getting better gas milage now. look back a few pages-i think he said something aobut it.QUOTE]
Sorry, I can´t find any posts with it... If it´s been on the table before, please repost it. I have some plans of adding GReddy´s turbo and doing some porting, but I don ´t want to be ruined by high gas milage...=)

The hp increase is def substantial. I didn't take a long time looking at the dynos because that stuff is just for bragging rights. I know how it feels and it feels nice. The feeling I get in my spine when I put the gas pedal down is great. It's just better throughout the entire rpm range. Solidly cleaner and better.
Now that it's all worn in (like 1200 miles now) I've been trying to race someone to compare myself with, and nooooone will race me I kid you not. I'm rocking back and forth next to a 350z and they just sit there and don't do anything. Blaaaaagh.

that's because it sounds like vtec when the aux. ports open. we need a "powered by honda" sticket for your car :p
petrus, in the old days we hogged out the intake, increased overlap and turned the boost up for power...no wonder we ate gas milage.
i said in the beginning that niether (increase or decrease) in milage would surprise me. port timing on this project wasn't effected enough to have a dramatic difference, and all we basically did was give the exhaust an easier way out of the engine. so better gas milage is a byproduct of increased efficiency.
free power!!!

But man, if you figure out how to shave off that kinda weight without stripping the car, you can sign ME up! :D

i wasn't aware of that.. i haven't read any posts on it or anything, but you can usually save a few hundred pounds off almost any car. i even took 200 lbs off my fc and it had full interior!
if i get one, i'll look a little closer. it'll probably get stripped down, super (or turbo) charged, ported , etc...and it'll be a track car for my business whenever i get that totally operational, so it'll be able to live without a lot of the luxuries a streetcar likes to have.
lighter exhaust, no a/c, smog pump, evaporator and all that crap from the dash, interior, etc etc....maybe 500 is a bit optimistic, but a few hundred pounds should be achievable anyway-without going crazy with the sound deadening removal, and things like that. i may even keep the power windows.
but who knows. right now i'd be happy with another fc. it'd have twice the power for 1/3 the cost...

oh yea, and i'm still not 100% sure on the rx8 for the shop car...
if i'm going to use it for advertisement and bling factor, it's down to either the 8 or a '00-'02 jap rx7. i really have no interest in shifting with my left hand, but something like that would attract attention.

I know who you are talking about. I just forgot his name.
I don't have a clue what rotorheads in Atlanta may have gone to Sevenstock nor who the ceramic wiz might be.
Obviously I don't know how to use this quote thing either.
Paul.

Taylor dedicates his work to Ricardo whos' work he follows closely. I disagree with him on some points and I actually tried to speak with him. I tracked him down through Prinston Press and called his home. His grandson said he couldn't be bothered right then because he was celebrating his 100 th birthday. That was 1995. So when his research was done is question number one.
I'm sure his work on the speed of flow is valid. I should get his work. I have an excerpt from his stuff on supercharging and that is why I wanted to speak with him. I disagree on some of his findings. Later when I realized how old he was I figured he just didn't have the fuels and lubricants we have now. And materials too.
I mean he said things like you need bigger mains and higher piston speeds???

hey, with enough imagination and linkage, you could have a right drive with a shifter on the right...but that wouldn't be jdm mad tyte yo.
in other news, i took apart my first 3 rotor tonight :D
gonna be a t66 (because that's what he has) powered streetport. 450-500 whp is all we want, so it'll last. daily driver style!!!

Besides that there are plenty of LHD cars in Japan. BMW and I think MB too sells both models (LHD and RHD) through their dealers. Japanese "fashion" thing with having the "imported" look instead of JDM. The Ford Mustangs sold here have all been LHD and you actually see a few (mostly V6). You actually see a few Camaros and I saw a Baracuda the other day.

Hello MazMart...
Send me a PM about the Georgia/Atlanta 8 scene. I recently moved down and purchased my 8. I am looking for more people with that sparkle in their eye.
