Question Greddy Emanage vs Canzoomer

Was wondering about current opinions from actual people who have the aforementioned devices.

I was around when Canzoomer was working on his product and I remember the first GB had some issues but I also heard he fixed them and on the second GB they weren't there...

Well now some time has passed and I was wondering how people felt?

I also understand that CZ's product is a wrapper to Greddy's product with some custom maps pre-built. The thing I don't understand is why this is worth the extra $$$. If someone can explain to me what I am missing, because I am sure I am missing something, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Oh and for those that did decide on the Greddy solution what add'l parts do you think is a definite need? I see they have a few add'l components so to speak to work with their system and if Canzoomer just picks what's necassary and helps make the install easier for the same price, I can understand why his product is preferred by so many...

Well, without maps the E-Manage is useless unless you have the ability to tune it yourself, and many people don't, or don't want to learn. Of course, with car-to-car variability seemingly rather high (this still seems a bit odd to me that it would be higher on this car than on others) you may very well need to tune the CZ box as well, somewhat lessening the advantage there. The other big thing was that the CZ box has a wiring harness so its plug and play...the E-Manage didn't....but now the one supplied with the turbo kit does. Can you get an E-manage without any turbo kit and still get that harness? I would imagine so, but I can't say for sure.

Even with the new wiring harness for the Emanage I think you still have to solder. The CZ for me, is plug and play straight from the box. You will have to tune the CZ to get the maximum benefit. The other big advantage for me is that CZ is so stealthy. You wouldn't know it's there unless you open the ECU lid.

By the time you buy a harness...and/or wire it into the car you will have spent close to what the CZ unit costs...plus you won't have the on/off switch, and the base maps to start from. Or the neat box that fits so well. Or the voice aat the other end of the phone for when you have questions...or need updates........

if you take a look at some of canzoomer's threads he does metion that the cz unit is almost a greddy e-manage in a different housing, however 3 advantages
1) plug and play (good for warranty issues)
2) Pre planned maps(not to mention the maps available on this site)
3) Also according to Canzoomer the E-manage only will control air/fuel ratio, the cz does that but also has additional components that also control engine timing!!

the e-manage will also control engine timing if you buy the additional harness - however, to my knowledge i think the e-manage will still cook your coils unless you do a conditioning circuit like in the cz

That's great information guys. I really appreciate it. It looks like CZ has fixed the original product and has some loyal customers! That says a lot! Next paycheck CZ get your bank box open!
