Cheapest starting point is to read everything there is on turbo kits and understand what you are getting yourself into
Making the motor safe ...... hard to know what to advise you here . You are always going to be at a higher risk than N/A . It mostly comes down to tuning .

This may help

nothing wrong with stock internals up to well over 300whp .
Good tuning is way more important

Although the emanage sucks, that upgrade kit is included with all current GReddy kits brand new. But you should get the AP anyways.

And you don't need the GReddy pan.

All the answers you seek are elsewhere on this forum. Utilize the "Search" function

you probably wont need new plugs running on the stock greddy kit either, unless you really crank up the boost. If your going to just run stock boost or lower than 10psi, put that money twards new coils. I for one wont even install a boost controller untill i get new coils and fuel pump. I dont want to be tempted to turn it up!

I also agree on the AP and READING AROUND THIS FORUM!!!! As for the motor being safe....tuning like BRETTUS said is the most important thing when it comes to "engine health"
