Greddy O2 dongle + Interceptor

Has anyone experimented with implementing the Greddy O2 dongle with the Interceptor to get rid of the "too rich A/F" CEL?

scott told me last week he's working on getting rid of the CEL.

I don't have any other details on the topic, but it's good it's being worked on.

yeah I hope somebody figures out something soon. Bought my 8 with a GReddy exhaust
already installed and every time I get the oil changed the guy comes running out to me
like my car is getting ready to explode!! I have even tried resetting the computer and that only lasted for about a week.

Oh, cool !
Do you guys also have the traction control light coming on with the cell, or is it just me?

The traction control light is not related to the CELs that turbo'd folks get. In fact, I think a different 'brain' handles it all together. I'd definitely check that out...

It would be great if there were a solution. I had to pass emissions recently. The only option for OBDII vehicles is to have no stored codes. They won't do a sniffer test. So, I had to put the stock injectors back in, remove the IntX, hold the wastegate open and drive around long enough for all the system checks to pass. I passed the emissions test this way, but driving the car in this condition SUX!

BTW: for all you folks thinking of swapping 13b REW's, 20b's and the like, the EPA considers it an illegal operation to put an older engine in a vehicle. You must replace it with an engine that is the same age or newer than the chassis.

^^ Wow. What a pain in the ***! I hate pulling the injectors.

I am, indeed, experimenting with some solutions for CELs with the Int-X.
Hopefully I (or Scott) will have something to offer in the next few months.

Has anyone considered wiring the CEL to a reverse logic gate (when the PCM wants it on, the gate switches it off, and when the PCM wants it off it turns it on [so long as the ignition is on])? Very much a band-aid solution, but at least it would still flash in the case of detonation.

May not even be possible to do it that way if the CEL is controlled over CANBUS or some other serial bus. I don't have a wiring diagram, but is the CEL powered or grounded directly to the PCM?

The CEL itself isn't the issue. It is the stored code that fails us at emission testing.
But, no - re-wiring the light would be almost impossible since the cluster is monolithic.

A pain in the *** it is! But I'm getting so practiced at removing and installing the intake that it only takes about 1.5 hours for the whole operation now. This time I found that my VDI valve was stuck open. A little WD40 seems to have taken care of the problem. I now have two years before having to get inspected again.

Hey, In Florida it's out of sight out of mind! Only other option I can think of is to figure out exactly how the greddy dongle does it. I always thought it was able to supress a system too rich CEL by telling the PCM the engine is always cold. I could see why that would be a disaster with the emanage, but wouldnt matter with the interceptor-x.

It works by altering the WBO2S signal to read lean.
