I have upgraded Goodridge Stainless Steel Brakelines & Hawk Brake pads. You can go to the upgraded Brembo calipers (www.mazdatrix.com). Or if you are tracking it, you can upgrade the rotors (slotted or slotted & cross drilled).

One of our customer who bought a tuner kit gave me an update this week.He is picking up his car on Monday and the shop that did the install and tuning is saying they made about 400WHP with some race fuel on a stock motor Apparently they have blitzed passed the 300WHP mark as we already have too.
Our test car is still at the dyno.I need to check out a boost leak.I think one of the pipes came off so I need to get it back on so we can finish the car which should be this week.

i think most of us here do trust your result of getting it over to 300whp. however, what we would like to know is that how long can the engine last.

How great would it be to have an RX-8 with 350-400rwhp. Then, I think the 8 should be changed to a 5 speed car since our 6th gear is mostly used only to get the revs lower. Not take out 6th gear, just change 6th gear so that we can cruise at 70-80mph around 3k-3.5k to save on gas.
I thought I read something on the forums where someone is making the gear ratio like that?
That's be pretty nice, speed in the first 3-4 gears and then 5-6 just to cruise

We are not sure of the details on this customers car yet.He just sent me an email with an update. We use 91 octane gas for all of our tuning so yes the SFR kit works with pump gas.We have eclipsed the 300WHP mark on 91 but we are not finished yet. Those who have access to 93 or better would have better gaisn then what we are abel to accomplish on the 91 octabe crap fuel out here in Cali.

Well, each company obviously feels that they have the superior product, or they would have worked on it together.

To me theres nothing really to compare greddy is a low budget kit and ssr is top quality.from what I seen on the forums theres been like 6 greddy kit sold after they been installed because they were not happy and god knows how many other that are not on the forum.I personally know someone with one and the car runs like crap dont get me wrong it pulls but not a car for a daily driver. Right now this kit is going for 2800 and believe me it will keep dropping in price.
