Greddy turbo and !*&$@$% air pump
OK I installed the greddy kit this weekend. Holy Crap is thing a totaly new car. Anyway back on point. The car was hasitating around 4K to 5k, researched some post got that issue fixed by removing dongle. ***BTW thanks to everyone that has stumbled through this process before me and posted all the great pictures and information.***
Now here is the actual question. Was removing the dongle supposed to cure the air pump from running after the ingition is turned off, or do we have to just live with this?? I am sure I am not the only one having this issue, I hope.
Also, anyone looking for a catch needs to check out the MS (knock off) catch can on Ebay. I bought that one and was pleasantly surprised it looks sweet. I'll post a picture when I get another minute.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Removing the dongle is not intended to fix the air pump problem. I'm not sure what's going on with this. It seems that only the newer kits are doing this though, the original ones didn't. Maybe Greddy made a change for some reason. I'll give them a call today and find out whats going on.

the electric fan will stay on in a STOCK car.
it all depends on how hot the engine gets. If it's over a certain temp when you shut the car off, the fan will stay on for a while to aid in cooling it down.

It's not the electric fan, its the air pump. This is a device that pumps additional air into the exhaust to help combust any unburnt hyrdrocarbons. It is located on the passenger-rear side of the engine bay.

I thought the air pump blew ambient air into the cat to dillute the "pure" PPM numbers down to an acceptable level. But that's just an educated guess on my part.

Well guys please help me..I have the kit as long with canzoomer midp-4 catalytic system with 5" cat...We haven't finished all the job yet but we started couple of times the car to just move it from the garage..
Well here is the prob..Benny from Greddy said it is not good to remove dongle so we didn't but the air pump after we shut the car it continues working for more than 2-3 minutes..I wasn't there but my friend told me that it was working for 10minutes!!!!!What should we do??Any suggestions??What might help??
here in Greece we have very high temps up to 45degrees celcius some times might this be the prob but i want my car to run smooth ans as i told you we didn't run the car to raise temps, just moce it 10meters or something, let it cool and the turn it off and the ari pump caontinued working for a lot.only with reseting emanage it stopped.....pwr radiator in each way to my door...

it's fine. For some reason all the newer kits do this. I guess it is to help preserve cat life by blowing some clean air through to ensure unburned hydrocarbons aren't stewing in it for long periods.
