Greddy Turbo Code Questions
Ok, so once again I am skeptical. I get flashing CELs sumtimes at 5500 or more rpms. I got the codes pulled a while ago and it was a too rich code. Would that show up b/c when they pull the code the car is not at 5500 rpms and has no reason to flash the CEL? I thought if it was a legitimate missfire code, after it flashes and stays on it would read as a missfire code, as well as the too rich code. Am I wrong in thinking this??

Inerestingly enough, I drove tonight for about 45 mins or so. During the time, I downshifted several times to 2nd when I knew the revs would exceed 5500 rpm. They did, and no flashing CEL. Then I accelerated in in 2nd gear past 5500 and no flashing CEL. Finally, from a stop, i gunned it, redlined 1st, shifted to 2nd, redlined it and went into 3rd, all w/ no flashing CEL. I feel like these new Densos are definitely worth the hefty price! I suppose the CEL that just stays on all the time will most likely always be there. Any thoughts on why the code only read too rich and no missfire codes despite previously flashing around the time when I got the code pulled?

I've heard, although I cannot personally confirm, that detonation can cause a flashing CEL and has no corresponding error codes.
Again, I don't know this to be true, just something I read in a post somewhere some time ago.
If it was a misfire it should have generated an error code though.

Interesting...I am feeling more and more like the spark plugs were the fix then. Like I said, I drove it for a good 45 mins and several times went above and beyond 5500 where the p2 inejectors come into play, where w/ the oem 6's leading was getting that flashing CEL. Now, or at least tonight, it didn't happen! I'm not gonna sweat it too much though if it does flash from time to time. I have not felt any decrease in performance as of now. I wanna slightly add fuel to my idle though. I am currently running mid to high 15's most of the time, and when it goes into the 14s I am holding much better vacuum. This can be controlled w/ emanage as far as afr goes, but the stock ecu still controls idle rpm, correct?
