belay the last post, i reset the ecu and put in the orfice fitting to the vfad line and it worked.. car now runs
only problems left are:
1. when in gear- past 5k rpm .. loud cracking noise when spooling, rpms holds and doesn't want to go up more
2. engine dies when engaging clutch, or neutral / clutch engaging kick starts it back on...
if anyone can help please post...

i didn't install a afr meter yet (wideband o2 sensor right?)
what is the solution to this detonation problem ?
p.s. i will tune the emanage by professionals to use the anti-stall feature to prevent stalling, install the BOV, and install gauges asap

DO NOT GO INTO BOOST UNTIL YOU HAVE THE WBO2S INSTALLED !!!!
How many more times am I going to have to point this out to people until they get it straight?
Let me give it to you in plain language -
If you have already experienced a "loud cracking" noise in boost, you have exposed your seals to the single most destructive force possible - auto-ignition, detonation, ping.
It is extremely likely that you have actually cracked at least one, if not all, of the apex seals in at least one place.
This might not manifest itself soon or at all (since there is no peripheral port, broken seals stay in place until the pieces degrade enough to turn out of the groove), but when if it does, you will know why.

MM get off your high horse. If you don't like answering the newb questions....don't. Nobody is making you. The advice you give is great and appreciated but relax man, everybody has to start somewhere. After all, this is a forum.

You are in no position to advise me.
Blowing up your motor for no good reason is no place to "start".

Put a floor jack with a piece of wood on top under the front edge of the oil pan.
Remove the 14mm bolt on top of the motor mount bushing and then gently start lifting the motor making sure not to crush the oil pan.
Once you get the motor high enough, you can remove the 14mm bolt and 14mm nut that hold the bushing to the frame and tilt it out of the way.
At some point, the motor with start to push up on the frame, so be careful not to try to lift it too high or you will damage something and start to lift the car off of the jack stands.

well it turns out that i may be going turbo here very soon, getting a smoking deal on the kit and gauges and everything. thank you all for the info on this thread. the only thing that i did not see answered or really even asked,
is it still a reliable daily driver with the greddy turbo kit installed and with the emanage on stock settings?
how long have some of you been driving with this kit and what kind of problems have you had?
also has anyone run into over heating problems? i live in las vegas so im sure before the next summer im going to need to upgrade the radiator.

uh, before someone flames you for not using the search function.
use the search function.
according to a member, mysql101, turbo'ing it makes it an even better daily driver.
in las vegas, you have heat problems without turboing the car. turboing the car uh, raises the temps im pretty sure. good luck with that.
dont expect everything to be handed to you, although quite a bit will. if things arent turning out for you, simply search and use some common sense.

Tailgaters beware
This site is extremely helpful in all areas, there are so many threads if you search them you will find an answer to about 99.9% of your questions.
The only problem that I've found on here is some people say a prayer to Mazsport before bed every night and believe everything they do is written on the same stone as the 10 commandments.

im not surprised to hear "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION". just in case you all forgot forums are a place for information sharing among friends and similar vehicle owners. that means asking questions and answering them also. so yes as i said before this site is just as worthless as rx7club. ill be better off with trial and error for myself. get off your high horses *********

Calm down man, there are some people on here that think if you don't know everything already then they are cool and smart and you arent. There are also some really helpful people, I've learned a ton by talking to people in the Greddy turbo facs and fixes areas. Check it out. Good luck and don't blow it up.

i do totally aggree with you there are some people here that i have run across since i have been this forum that i have learned alot from. but theres really no point in treating people like some have. i did do research i read this enitre thread, and i had some questions that had not yet been answered, so i asked and when i got no repsonse, i decided to do something to provoke an answer. i should have known that this would be the reply i would get. but whatever it doenst matter. thanks for the answers i did get.

yeah because that is exactly what i want to do is go blow up my new car. you are the exact person i am talking about. you have so much knowledge but you decide to be an ******* all the time instead just helping people. if you dont want to be asked these questions to dont be the super educated person that you are. theres no reason to be a dick all the time. having the knowledge doesnt make you any better of person than anyone else here. that said im done, no more of this **** from me.
