I went back and took a look at the SC fitting photos. How bad is it going to be to change the oil after the SC is installed? We have to re-route the filler (it follows a Z shaped path in stock form anyway), and we might even remote mount the filter. Some people think that is cool, in addition to practicalities. Anyway - I only posted my message about that meet hoping that some might like to come along. It was not intended to be private! Gotta get the engine / car ready first... Cheers, Hymee. |
So you will be testing the charger with your (or somebody's rx8?). Yeh they bascially have the competition's at the new strip which is much better. Ill have to some down regardless and check your exhaust/grill out.
You going to have a name tag hehe Adrian |
I thought I indicated earlier that we will be running the Renesis with the Supercharger to test out the combo, but not in an RX-8. We will be using Phil's "test bed" drag car. It doesn't look much, but has all the good gear underneath - the opposite of a mudgard I suppose :)
He ran a 13.0 with Motec managed Renesis (stock) at Willowbank over 12 months ago. And my car won't be there, I'm flying down. (Sorry) All this is dependant on if it gets up and running in time. Cheers, Hymee. |

I think you better ask Hymee what the car weighs.
It is not an Rx8. Don't get your hopes up that all that can be had with engine managment. ;) |

Hehehe,
I never said it was an RX-8. And it doesn't weigh much, it is an 808 wagon. But the 13.0 is a valid baseline for our development, is it not?. Like I said, it was a stock Renesis, with a Motec management system (no RX-8 ECU at all). The exhaust was custom from the exhaust ports back. It had a proper clucth. It had a decent drive train. It had drag racing slicks. It had front runners. Like I said above, it doesn't look much from the outside, but it has all the right gear. The interior is gutted bar a drivers seat & harness. When we have it (the blower) running, and proved its potential, then we can further package into the RX-8. And we have a baseline for that as well, with my 14.7. Sorry for the confusion, but remember: RTFP !! Cheers, Hymee. |

1. I'll let someone else try to explain that one. Just a bit of fun. Hint: R = Read, P = Posts. :D
2. Yes, 14.7 - Stock, except for my rear muffler assembly aka catback. I posted the slips some time back. It was last year sometime. 3. That is the likely. Either mine or Wildcard's. Cheers, Hymee. |

Hahahaha, They read my words closer than yours 'cause they know you live down the road from that Rum Factory. And I hear your their best customer. Cheaper by the drum, eh?
That's how I read Gomez suttle understatment "Hymee favors the rum" '. |
hey hey hey....don't DRAG me into this!!!!!!
|
The wait is killing me, but a 13sec Rx-8 will be worth it!
|
Killing you? How do you think I'm feeling.....
Cheers, Hymee. |
lifeless ;)

News Flash. I have it on high authority that Hymee is on a weight reduction program, to lower his ET. He is going to take the weight off of himself. His excersise program is based at the Rum factory up the road. Using the VIP room Hymee excersises his right elbow and then his left.
Hymee, I hate to break it to you but this progam will probably add weight. BUT if your enjoying it, I'm all for you. Cheers |
