Nearing the middle of May any further news on the supercharger or is Dr Phil still too busy to go back to work on the Hymee twin screw supercharger , maybe he needs a cash incentive to finish the project .

Just an idea if members who are interested in this project would pay a up front refundable amount against the future purchase of the supercharger , this would give Dr phil the cash flow to work harder longer on his long term project .

What do guys think ???

Without mentioning names i personally know of 2 Australian members who have chosen other FI options purely because they got tired of waiting for the Hymee supercharger .

cheers

I was actually waiting for you to go install another kit then announce the availablilty of mine the very next day. Just kidding. But that would be funny, yeah?

It is happening.

So, how come we haven't seen these members around here showing of their dyno results of the new found power??? very confused.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Mostly you will not find this sort of sharing between competitors, will you.
We intend to share our understanding of the ECU problems all to the end of making our products better and cheaper for you. Not to mention speeding up the process. You want solutions? This is how we get them.

So don't complain if you find us at some local pub late at night having a little fun. We only do it for you.
On top of that it is hell on our bodys and takes away from our lifespan. We do it for you.
Yeah - we tried that approach, but someone let the dog out of the workshop :o

Really??? And have we seen them boasting about the benefits?? :o

FFS, Michael, adding FI to a complex motor like the Renesis is not rocket science...but it's bloody close. I am not sure what practical or constructive purpose your post has, other than to annoy the **** out of people

My post was not put there to annoy anyone if they annoy you dont... F&^^G READ THEM , but yes 2 Greedy turbo kits have been ordered arriving here within the next week , not all members want to boast or show you their dyno figures , so in time they may post them , but i will have pics of the install soon .

I believe we are entitled to hear of progress on the unit for those that may shown some interest .and not be left in the dark .

When the unit is complete i am sure that our $$$$ dollars will be welcomed with open arms so keeping us informed is not a huge ask .

Not all forum members are prepared to wait for Hymees supercharger opting to find other alternatives that was my point .

cheers

I don't think L&L meant to rub anyone up the wrong way. I too share his thoughts, but I don't have any cash lying around at the moment, so I'm patient about it.

But his idea has some merit. Although I would think that if we were to invest in this project then maybe a small discount would be in order. Only because if due to some act of God the project is not completed, and the funds were already spent on R&D then I don't think a refund would be possible.

Thanks for your support , nice to see some people read the whole thread before they loose it , it must be that time of the month for Timbo

Selective answering of valid question and getting smart *** types of replies like
( It is happening ) just makes myself and most likely others think of taking their bussiness elsewhere .

while I agree hymee is taking to long and L&L is right in some ways. I reckon people will still make the decision on other factors. we have seen this with rotarmasters turbo kit it was first out but why didn't people buy it. over priced? not recognised brand? custom built and not a kit?

some want the jdm product no matter what.
some will see a supercharger as old-school low tech since they are associated with V8's.
some will want low end power and want a PD supercharger.

the only way I see hymee loosing is for another PD supercharger to beat him to the punch.

Dont be suprised if the Dr Phil / Hymee supercharger when finally up and available for sale will be in the $8000 - $10,000 catergory its hard for small time operators to sell small volume product in a cost effective way .

Reliable everyday useable power to $$ value and name brand will be a few of the many considerations i will think of if and when i decide .

Gee that's lot of money for a no name brand supercharger from a company that's been around five minutes .
Can't wait anymore , I too have decided on a Greddy Turbo kit .Should be here soon!!I will be shooting for an acheivable 300RWHP.
A reputable company with a proven (resaleable) product for half the price . It's a no brainer !!! :D :D Sorry hymee , but after nearly a year of waiting for your kit ,I'm sorry ,can't wait no more
Michael could you divulge the other two Greddy proud owners?? :D :D

I am still in the market for other hymee stuff (sCANalyser) ,but as their now are readily available other overseas equivalents,I don't know how much longer I CAN wait.
Hymee may need a Greddy Turbo Guinea Pig to test the sCANalyser??

I can tell you now you WILL not be able to acheivable 300 hp @ wheel. You will be lucky to get 250 hp @ wheel. Why? Do your research!

You cannot run too hard of boost in a engine with combustion ratio 10:1. Not to mention overheating..... you only have one oil cooler for god sake , and the car radiator is at peak 95% of normal driving time.

Good luck to you. I am still waiting to know more about HKS supercharger kit, although centrifuge supercharge is not as good as RP's twin screw (theoratically). All this is talk, really, I strongly think I run as fast as a stock + GReddy turbo with my future semislick, brake and suspension mod at Sandown. Power is not everything.

There is just too much to sort out for an FI! It is too naive to think that you can just bolt one in. What about tuning? What about the heat it generate (oil and water)? What about the intake and exhaust? What about the drive chain, your clutch? What about the fuel pump and injectors? Bolt on FI for NA car is not as simple as you think. Please don't tell me you like it put a half decent mod on a beautiful car.

I am backing Hymee because it is hard to achieve an FI on RX-8. Well I think Hymee and Dr. Phil is partly to blame too (lazy ***) .

To be honest GReddy turbo is only popular in the US for the muscle car maniacs. In Japan, it has limited publicity and most guys there just go... ah oh... that's it.

That is my 0.02$.

My 2c worth is that L&L is not in a position to give any indication as to the price of my kit.

There aint no equivalent of the sCANalyser :p

Cheers,
Hymee.

I don't see a problem hitting 300 rwhp with a high compression ratio. It can be done. Just tune it. I don't see it happening with the miniscule Greddy turbo. It is intended for a "little" more power, not alot. When you push them past what they were intended to do, bad things happen.

Who's not backing hymee anyway !! How long must people wait without knowing what's going on ??

THERE'S my Two cents

If you are talking about the RX-8, on what planet does it come with 240 rwhp?

I am keeping out of this but i have read of a very achivabel figure of 265 - 275 HP on the stock Greedy turbo .
And the guys in puerto rico are getting higher but their cars are basically racing cars i want everyday driveability .

Thanx Lock , This kit has the international support I look for when going FI . And the BRAND ( Quality ) :p :p

There is such a fantastic support for Greddy. I can't wait :D :D

Maybe 300 RWHP is optimistic, but I''ll sure as hell try
