Part three is going to be the story of getting his right elbow replaced with a teflon one.

If only I did drink as much rum as you think! Hahahaha!

We are experienceing a "lull" in development at the moment while available time and resources are shared with other work.

I'm hoping that Phil can do some more development before Christmas. There are a few things we plan on improving on Wildcard's car, plus it would be good to get all the fruit back on my car as well.

Cheers,
Hymee.

I don't recall seeing any actual figures.
I do recall someting about +100 Whp being a target goal.. but dont' quote me..
There is a dyno graph showing b4/after, but no actual totals..
And.. Hymee made a comment about torque being double on the lower RPM side.
Again.. don't quote me.. but that is what I remember reading.

I'm sold.. just waiting for the day..

I didn't read it all either, but am interested in something to get the 8 going. I just got mine and was hoping to find (to my disappointment) plenty of performance mods.

in the end this will probably cost about 1/3 as much as the 3 rotor (assuming you do most of the work), besides that 3rotor 8 is technically not street legal in most of the US (if not all)

FFS - I only had one over the whole weekend. Last night watching the movie. "The Last Castle". Not a bad movie actually in some respects, although no Hollywood blockbuster.

Cheers,
Hymee.

I believe that the prototype kit he was working with was a Kenny Bell root type charger. I saw the pics of. Just can't find'em now.

Richard's is an axial flow unit, not roots type in design.

Hymee's is a twin screw from Autorotor. Same company as who Pettit is using, but Hymee is using a larger model SC than Pettit.

The AutoRotor twin-screw supercharger is sold in the US under the Kenne-Bell "brand". Their web site has lots of good info about this type of supercharger.

The Autorotor "parent" company is known as Opcon. Opcon also own the Lysholm brand, and they are sold in the US using the Whipple brand.

Working on some new billet intake runner adaptors at the moment, and a larger water/air intercooler.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Thanks again for the clarification

Edit: both of those guys are taking the supercharged approach, so it's a win win situation in my opinion.

I look forward to updates over the coming months.

I'm not necessarily against turbo rotaries. I've owned one. They are fun. For street use I would rather use a supercharger. This also comes with a power cap. If I were shooting for 400+ hp I would definitely use a turbo. It is possible that I may see a setup in the future that would change my mind on this. For the gains that most are interested in for the street, I like the supercharger idea. I have various reasons why I like certain setups depending on the intended use but know I'm not against any particular type of system as they all have their place.

Hymee, are you going to be offering an air-air intercooler with your kit also?

Or I guess what I'm really thinking about is the reliability of the water pump on the air-water unit, and how much heavier is this than air-air units? And also how will the 8 react on the track with some of the ic components in the opening where the air normally flows to the radiator? Thanks.

I thought he had both? In some pics that i've seen there was both a front air mount ic and air to water ic.

Must have missed that. The only one I recall had the radiator core for the air-water IC in the front.

A) Hymee ran into a major problem with this application. He doesn't want to discuss it with us here until he at least sees some light at the end of the tunnel.

B) Hymee ran into a major problem with something altogether disassociated with this project. Unfortunately for us, this problem has totally kept him away from this project. He hasn't done squat on it for several months now. No telling if/when he will do anything anymore on it.

C) Hymee an into some major big time bucks doing something altogether disassociated with this project. Unfortunately for us, this new found fortune has totally kept him away from this project. He hasn't done squat on it for several months now. No telling if/when he will do anything anymore on it.

D) Hymee just plain lost all interest in this project. Unfortunately for us, this new lethargic lack of concern has totally kept him away from this project. He hasn't done squat on it for several months now. No telling if/when he will do anything anymore on it.

E) Hymee has been discussing this project elsewhere. Those who have not kept up with the Australian threads and such are just s.o.l. and he doesn't care.

Oh, let's see, there are probably more possibilities as to what is actually going on, and knowing my luck, I probably haven't even come close to it.

So, what's up, Hymee?

Hymee got a VIP pass for the Rum Distillery a short way from his home and he could care less about you guys now. He could care less about making a living and left his wife and kids on welfare. They have sold off all the Rx8 assets in order to keep the house. Smart move on their part.

I have offered help in the way of employment if he would take up an AA program but he just fliped me off. Maybee if we all wrote in and asked to have his VIP pass resinded there would be light at the end of the tunnel for him.

Hymee, we love and miss you please get help.
