This just came up in the AFSC thread but I figured it was worth a post here as well: Cobb now has a full ECU reflash solution. You can find the info here: http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31354

They did say on that site that they have only just started "initial" work. Well, if only everyone knew how advanced we really are. At least I have been living and breathing RX-8's for the last 3 years. One last hint... Owners of sCANalysers will be in for a treat ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Cheers,
Hymee.

Not to knock your work or whatever Hymee... I know that you've been working on ECU reprogramming and have sometihng great coming. This is just about your comment about Cobb being in the "initial" stage...
It sounds like they've cracked it and the initial part is the testing of their ability to load new flashes and ensure compatibility across the various model years and AT vs MT.

From your post.
As I said in the other thread: Glad to hear, it Hymee. I must have missed that post in my absence.
I didn't want to clutter their thread, so I'm going to say the rest here.
Research is free, but the getting the certification won't be, which is why most people don't do it. Cost vs. Benefit. That's unfortunate for those of us in California. So, I hope it turns out to be worth your while.
I don't remember if I made it up or not, but were you using a midpipe with your kit? If so, that'll be a set back.
I definitely hope it works out.

Well the benefits increase now that other states like New York are signing up on the California CARB standards... It's not a matter of 49 state vs 50 state legal... it's getting to be more like 40 state vs 50 state (just guessing about the number going CARB... I think it's like 4-6 states).

So has the question been asked of this coming to market? That video is almost a year old by now... I am sure it has but I dont feel like looking through countless pages looking at off topic conversation.

I guess some folk saw this post...

The same goes for a 6-port. Might have to pay excess baggage if I bring 2 kits, an exhaust and a couple of grille kits as well.
Cheers,
Hymee.

To me it is more important to get other logistics in place first, such as vehicle(s) for install, and airfares. We'll sleep in the car or on the workshop floor if we have to.
Isn't anyone passing around the hat??
Cheers,
Hymee.
