hey Hymee...
i saw the pics of your SC from SSX....very nice....
do you have any pics of the SC installed in an 8 that you can post??
thanks

There is no need to go to any more effort than to look at the previous page for the answer to that question!

Hint. There was no need to bend the strut brace to fit it. Others from SSX can explain better than me.

Cheers,
Hymee.

My guest speaker presentation at SSX included such a picture. I don't have it her on RAP's computer at the moment. I can't thumb-drive it across, as he migh steal my trade secrets. Hang on a minute...

Thanks for waiting. I was just espionaging a bunch of files from his PC.

I plan on posting a transcript of my presentation soon. Probably when I get home. Or while I am waiting at LAX-ative airport if I get there too early.

Cheers,
Hymee.

rotorocks 09-24-2007 06:34 AM

Mark, were you flying out with a 12:10AM flight?
I was sitting at the LAX at the bar chatting with one of your country man. He was in LA shopping for a boat. :) Have a safe trip home mate. It was a pleasure meeting you.

tajabaho1 09-24-2007 01:11 PM

if you saw the engine at SSX, it was super beautiful, wonderfully packaged too.....wow man, if this thing ever comes to the USA...and is compatible with an AT, I would sure buy this.......(unless its 6k+)

lazi 09-24-2007 05:24 PM

^ he said the kit would be less then 10k, so yes im pretty sure its more than your (unless its 6k+) comment

tajabaho1 09-24-2007 08:19 PM

so less than 10k and more than 6k?, god damn, lets see :)

rotarygod 09-24-2007 10:56 PM

He said he'd like to keep it under $10K Australian dollars if possible.

MazdaManiac 09-24-2007 11:09 PM

That's like $47.50 USD, isn't it?

Oh, I forgot - Prez Bush fixed that for them...

skc 09-24-2007 11:17 PM

Under $10k would be nice. I am sure he will be able to sell a few units if below that magical figure. Now we wait for some dyno figures.

Hymee, how long before you release your product.

skc

tajabaho1 09-25-2007 12:18 AM

under 10k, is australian dollar = 1/2 right? so might be able to afford afterall :)

Unfortunately, no. One US Dollar is about Aussie $1.15.
$10k AUD is $8,656.12 USD.

Try one Aussie dollar buys around 80 US cents. Therefore around 20% less for US buyers.

skc

MazdaManiac 09-25-2007 12:41 AM

86 cents. Check one post up.

tajabaho1 09-25-2007 12:58 AM

oh god damn, wtf happened, 2 years ago it was half!!!

god damn economy

swiftrx8 09-25-2007 10:52 AM

Looks very nice and clean, the oil filter looks to be a tight fit. I already hate where mazda put the thing, its a pain.

Nemesis8 09-25-2007 11:03 AM

So, it has a drive shaft and pillow block looking bearing?

auzoom 09-25-2007 08:17 PM

Thanks for the answer Mark I have to say that the pics of it on the bench make it look HUGE but looking at it over the last few days I can see that its not that big.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers

Andrew

Hymee 09-26-2007 03:16 AM

Order for the first unit taken.

So the list has begun. There is only one way to get on the list.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I'll start dyno testing very soon. Like I have said, it will be released when it is fully baked. The price is yet to be finalised, but I did say publiclly I would like to keep it under $10k. But in the end, it will cost what it costs. Just remember - no matter what, mine will be the most expensive one! I haven't even begun to add up the cost of my trip, plus the three prototypes :) I'm sure if I did a business plan like I was told to, we wouldn't be all enjoying this journey so much. :ylsuper:

Cheers,
Hymee.

DOMINION 09-26-2007 07:08 AM

BillyPilgrim 09-27-2007 09:47 AM
