Hi Zoom, I'm fine, thanks. I haven't been around much lately. I'm already spending too much time on the UK and French forums.

Cheers,

Fabrice

Well all - work continues. Today I ordered the air-to-air intercooler, or aftercooler if you like. Using the best Aussie stuff again - PWR.

Plan at this stage it to get it all running on the engine dyno with a large throttle body and all the gear. No date set for this yet, but probably within the next 2 weeks.

Yes - engine dyno.

Anyway - rxeighter just got here with Mrs rx8eighter to go out for dinner.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Hymee,

What displacement charger are you using now? I haven't seen that mentioned since you've been back.

Customers choice. I'm not forcing anything upon them.

I'd recommend MoTeC, Powermod and Hymee Reflash. Not in any particular order. The last one is still in development, but has been prototyped.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Wow I am "too new" to have seen those videos, that car is SICK (in a good way!)

Exhaust sounds sweet, too. But nothing like a "whiny biotch" of a car!

Hymee, when and how can we see the Hymee Reflash implemented? At Sevenstock I heard you mention that you're anticipating the end user being able to tune with the sCANalyser, is this true? And if I were to buy a sCANalyser now, would you support the current version with an update when and if the new software is released?

Yep - Hard at it as we speak. But I just decided to take a short break and go fit up my intercooler now I have the brackets. I can't believe I have waited since the 22nd Feb for someone to bend these up for me, only to have fabricated them myself this morning...

The "stock" look of your kit with the "covers on" has always been interesting. Including the stock air box.

Hymee, since you are getting close. Is there anything you think people should be preparing to do or should be aware of. For example, there are a long list of aftermarket modifications:

1. Air intake ducts. Like Racing Beat or Odula. Will those be OK?

2. AEM or Mazdaspeed CAI. OK?

3. Greddy oil pan.

4. Mazmart water pump.

5. Mazsport ignition upgrade?

6. Mazsport engine mounts. Any thoughts?

7. Headers?

8. Oil. Any thoughts on grade or about the synthetic debate?

9. Any exhaust recommendations?

10. Anything about the different markets? JDM, USDM, Europe, etc....

11. Thoughts on Automatics, in terms of special considerations. Including say your air to air intercooler and those who have Automatic Transmission Coolers.

Obviously a long list. So answer whatever ones you would like to and at your leisure. ( Finishing the SC come first :-) ).

The obvious first base is a "stage 1" kit where all OEM fuel and ignition is retained. Then it can only go up from there.

As for the getting it finished, I was just working on it now. As for the ProTuner, I need to finish off this IC install, and get on with it.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Here is a quick pic of the bracketry for the IC in place.

Cheers,
Hymee.

90% Fully Sik...

'cuse the pilot holes. A little too far back, now a smidge too far forward. Also, the top mounting plate need to be beefed up slightly. 3mm is just a little thin for that cantilever on the PAX side. (My pax, that is )

Need to look at that PCM cooler tube. Don't want to do anything obvious and bugger things up for Warren.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Just thinking about it some more, I might get a piece of channel, then that will be stiffer in bending, and I won't have to go any thicker. I can mount it with the flanges facing down, and it won't foul the IC, as it had decent sized mounting bosses anyways.

Cheers,
Hymee.
