Really nice Hymee---
I really like the belt config .
it is an air to air intercooler?---wish i could see that uim lol!
I little hint if i may---that firewall heater hose almost or does touch the uim--it is a very "hot spot" if you will and easily rerouted under the car with 2 90 degree fittings--also gives you more room back there--like when you are changing the filter etc.
It is MUCH easier to relocate the filer when it comes to oil change times.
A heat shield between the exhaust header and the lower intake manifold cools things down some also.
beware that alternator can get REAL hot---the heat actually frayed a belt once at road Atlanta---it can get well over 200F.
Where do you put youre oil in now?
Lots of ? lots of ?
Sweet looking kit man!

This thread needs a cliffnotes verison, like i want to see all the pics at once ........... without going through 5,000 posts, I also don't know if anything was released like power, price, or how far along it is, I dont have the patience to read 50 pages, most of it being technical terms that I don't understand at all =x.

Part of the reason it is so long is from people complaining about how long it is and they want to know more without reading.

Then we step in and post for that person to stop being lazy and start reading.

Nice job with the tensioner. If the pettit kit had come with one, I wouldn't have had to beg Ray to make me a different setup.

As for how far along it is: Check out the pics on the previous page...

I posted some pretty detailed pics of the FMIC on an earlier page, or perhaps on my "Major Product Announcement" thread.

The tensioner was an obvious necessity after the first two prototypes.

The oil filler isn't swar'ed in yet. Will do that today with a bit of luck.

Oil filter fits without mods. Would be an option to remote mount it. I think it
might be able to be changed from underneath (i.e. on a hoist).

I'm sure there are very detailed pics of the "rear setup" earlier on. I took it to SSX last year and everyone got all firm over it. The only thing that has changed is I put a double-shear bracket on the rear idler to stiffen things.

I want to get it driveable today. Lets hope. I have a list a mile long of tiny little details to get done. Things like installing thermo couples to measure before and after air temps, installing a boost gauge, fabricating the boost tubing, making sure all the fittings are there for all the factory emissions gear etc to connect up etc., Lucky I have good a good scan tool, data logger and tuning S/W :p It is all falling into place

Timing: With regards to it being ready for release... There are only 2 pre-conditons for that...
  1. When it is good and ready, and not before. I guess that is why it has been a while, and not rushed to market for commercial reasons.
  2. When I get 10 paid orders.

Price: How much have I spend making this happen? - hard to measure. Don't forget this is the 3rd evolution in a continuous improvement cycle. So each kit will cost the buyers much less than my kit cost :O. As a guide, it will be the highest quality kit out there, bar none. My long standing motto is "You get what you pay for with Quality". But don't forget it will include a fully tunable PCM reflashing solution with scan tool and data logger, otherwise you could spend $1200 on a piggy back. That surely will give it a price advantage.

Massive torque from instantaneous full Boost when you put your foot down: Priceless!

Mazsport coils: I'd hope that they fit in. You can't see it clearly, but I made a spacer to mount the coils away from the blower to allow it to fit in, and at one stage I was thinking about using the Mazsport ignition so I didn't have to make a new bracket! But I wanted to use as much as stock as possible for now. Then allow for "upgraded" components as people desired. So for now it has the stock injectors, stock throttle body (I have a electronic DBW big-bore one <of my own manufacture> there to test later), stock ignition, and the stock fuel pump to name the main components.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Even if its possible to keep the Mazsport ignition coils in its original location, the igniter box definitely needs to be relocated.

Looks very clean. i like that it's stealth. can't wait to see dyno and price.

Do you think those 1st 10 might get a discount? I want one, but I have a hard time justifying spending more than USD 5k. Hopefully you can keep the price int hat range.

Looks very nice.

Olddragger has some good observations.

Simple ones like how to change oil? How to change oil filter? Does that Hymee supercharger cover come off easily?
