well some people have gave me info some people arte just being ********. i hhave herd like 1000 different things. i hear you can boost it and it will be fine,or your going to blow your motor. now my question is. Is the reason why im going to blowmy motor because of to much boost or the motor has a weak design? or i it another reason i really dont want to waste my money but i deffinatly want more power.

You're going to blow it because you lack the base knowledge about rotaries, boost and wankel maintenance in general.
Given the lack of these items you'll never be able to do a proper install or even pick the right shop to the the work for you. After that comes the tuning part.
It seems like you're not even able to see how your engine is doing before starting this kind of thread so just stop being rude to who is actually trying to help you.

The war comment was cheap and idiotic.

is this your first time looking at boosting any car? Because if it is then let me tell you something, no out of the box boost is going to be safe and reliable. I dont think you understand the trials and tribulations people have gone through on this forum to make their car stable on boost (which is still something that hasn't been 100% achieved). Thats not just with an RX, but ANY car. When was the last time you heard of someone take an NA car, boost it with minimal money spent, and ride around daily with 0 issues. If your goal was for absurd power, then this was NOT the car for you, and if you really read through this forum you would have solidified that.

If you plan on boosting this car then you best have money aside at ALL times for a rebuild. If money is a concern, then boosting is NEVER going to be an option. Our engine doesn't have many components like piston engines do, but those few components require a ton of care.

I think you are beating a dead horse here. If you are serious about boosting i suggest you meet up with a member from these forums who is boosted. Sit and talk with them, check out their ride, check out all the money and work they put in.

wll i wasnt rude at all people were ony me aboutmy spelling.so thats first second your right i dont kno much abut a rotary but i am learning alot jut from this site and the people. i hae bult MANY cars with turbos and supercharger from the ground up. but nevera rotary i guess maybe then i wont boost my car right now. tho i would love to and i think it wouldbe a great machine to drive aftr. i also think there there are alot of people against it from what i have been reading. again sorry for my spelling. wht are some up grades that you all would go with, maybe a small shot of nitrous 55? with intake, exhaust, cobb, final drive, solide mounts and light flywheel. what do you thnk honestly i will take the rude comments to i jus really want to know where this car stands

it's all in the first few posts man.
intake
exhaust
etc
without major upgrades, you won't be getting much power. If you're interested in nitrous, read up on it. Lots of people do it without problems.
If you want a car with power, in my honest opinion, sell the 8 and get another car. Not trying to be an ***! Just, from what I've read, it's the best way for you to go. But, if you enjoy the 8, then take it for what it is: a true handling car!
As your first mod, try investing in getting some driving instructions and learn the full potential of this well balanced machine!
Oh, and don't worry about spelling. Some people are just immature lol.
Good luck man, and enjoy the 8 for what it is...

thanks bro i have a nitrous kit but honestly i have been doing alot of research and talked to pettit racing i think i will save my money and supercharger it they say the stock motor ca handle it just take care of th motor . by filling the oil ect ect . but i think no matter what i will do te full exhaust and intake because it will help withthe flow it miht only get me to 190 -200 whp but i dont mind that. the car is a quick car and has the revs to beat others thats why i bought it. i love the revs, such a beautifl sound. i know somepeople can be immature but i dont even care anymore i have gained so much from thi site and it as helped me a great deal. i have so much to learn i noticed that the car drives differently depending on how i drive it that same day. it eats **** right after sitting at a light so m guessing its heat soak . and if i drive it in secong at 6500 for alittle when i step on it ,it goes better than going throug secong and flooring it . i know how to drive very well but this is deffinatly a different machine . i was looking into a fully built motor macking 245 whp from this race shop for 4800 and was thinking maybe going thought route . i am very scatterd on what i should do . i deff love this car its my baby lol so not sure the best route im all over the place

I can see where your thoughts are leading you. I'll suggest this: DON'T jump into an expensive kit/ engine work without first learning all you can about this engine! Take your time in reading these threads and the stickies in the "Major Horsepower Upgrades" sub-forum. Understand EVERY detail about this engine and it's capabilities, and once you feel comfortable with it, THEN start a thread and reveal your intentions to the club. If you can form your own opinions on the subject, then no one will doubt your goals and will in fact encourage you to go for it!
I wish you luck in your build! Just, make sure you understand all that you're getting into

I work for the DOD (thats the Department of Defense Einstein) and have plenty of respect for our educated war veterans. I work with these people day in and day out. You learn how to read and write in elementary school you moron. I have no respect for someone who has not applied themselves in school. Your an arrogant little ****. Go do your own research and stop wasting our f-ing time!

Could you please bring your attitude back to a decent level?
Just because you are in the military doesn't mean you do anything special. It's a job, relax. Pulling the "we serve the country" card doesn't help either. There are many ways to serve a country and they are all respectable.
Also remember that to some being a military isn't a way to really serve a country but just help it follow economical interests. Everything is subjective and points of view may vary.
Your attitude towards this subject perfectly reflects how stubborn you are in taking advice when it comes to engine building.

This thread has made me LOL since post #1 ... and it just keeps getting better ... keep going

edit: Thats one of the thing I have loved about ignorant veterans (note i said ignorant ones, not all, relax). The ones that feel that just because you didn't go to war you hate your country. They are too god damn un educated to know that war isn't free and its the "book worms" who A. develop the weapons that they fire, B. engineer the vehicles in their convoys, C. Engineer the aviation equipment they use (what i do for a living..). No ... they magically ended up in war in a country with this magic things that go pew pew and zoom zoom and we are the fa**ots that dont do **** for war. Even the clothes on your back and the vests on your uniforms are designed by "book worms" ... idiot ... society is full of checks and balances, one part cant survive without the other, even war.

I greatly respect those that selflessly serve their country or community. You aren't even CLOSE to those that represent the best of the U.S.A. DO NOT think that just because you know how to pull a trigger that you are somehow respectable. You are not. My Grandfathers fought in WWII and Korea and one served time in enemy POW camps suffering physical and mental harm that we cant imagine. My Father flew over hostile areas. They present to everyone that they meet the dignity and respect fitting someone representing the Military. They would NEVER disrespect America with the drivel you have posted. They would be, as I am, ashamed that you could consider yourself representative of those who serve. SHUT THE **** UP!

Thanks paimon.soror for backing me up. It's obvious this idiot doesn't know what goes on behind the curtains. The many engineers who work countless hours to ensure he has everything he needs when on the battlefield. The men who ensure everything works as designed. I work for NAVFAC. I manage Navy facilites primarily reserve center renovations and new construction in the Northeast. How about yourself?

No problem man, its just one of those mindsets that people get into, unfortunately they are not fully to blame as it is how they are "designed" to think when heading into battle. It just sucks when they cross the line between the ideas of unity which is what (as strange as it sounds) war's purpose is, to arrogance against those who don't fight in the same way they do. Again, we are starting to even cross the lines here into politics which I think is against forum policies, so I will just leave it at that.

I work over at Pratt & Whitney as a CAD systems engineer. Do a lot of work designing applications to help aid engineers in the design of externals for commerical and military engines (F-35R).

To get back on topic, I think you can acheive any goal with the right budget, as you can also get any anwsers your looking for with the right attitude, I think we have awnsered your questions to the best of your capacities to understand the rotary engines. It might just feel with the way your question were asked that you might jut be another guy with dreams and taking our time and patience to anwser you. I ll be the first one who will like to follow your project if it comes to life.

Derek do you understand that it is your choice to go there and fight? Nobody pointed a gun to your head and told you to go there.
If you see some fucked up **** while deployed that's not our business or an excuse or any kind of merit, it's just your choice.

thanks bro the project will come tolife but i think i might by a built motor from pettit racing but im still unsure so from what i hgave read this has what i have gotten i rotary cant handle a turbo at 8 to 10 pounds of boost eventually it will pop but it can handle a uperchargewr at 5-7 boost. there is to much out there for me to even take these as credable so i will d my own research. then buyt a beater car when i Ef it up lmao no but really i am going t try and talk with pettit more and so what the bottom line is. and what i can and cant do for power upgrades

I could care less if I get an appology from you. I meant what I said. I'm sick and tired of dealing with uneducated little ***** coming on this forum and asking the same f-ing questions over and over. The reason you can't spell is because you havn't applied yourself. Just as its obvious that you havn't applied yourself here. There is a boat load of information posted on this forum regarding major horsepower upgrades such as superchargers, turbos , and nitrous. I'm a 37 year old man with a family. I have a college degree and am currently going for my masters. I have been involved in numerous DOD projects that will ultimately benefit our troops like that of the EMALS system that was posted last night. I have applied myself and it shows by where I am in my life and my career. Get off your f-ing high horse. You say you serve your country. So do I *******. You won't find high ranking officers on the front line. They're not out there to flex their muscle they're out there to use their mind like us "bookworms". Take what your selling elsewhere because frankly your an embarassment!
