I like my clove injector better.
well i think i will go with either esmiril or pettit racing turbo kits
No, you wouldn't want to do that. Definitely stick with the Pettit Racing Turbo Kit.

Pettit makes a supercharger kit, not a turbo. That is why you are getting ragged on so much Although I'm sure they'd be happy to build you a custom turbo kit as well.
A friendly piece of advice - do some reading on forced induction, turbocharging, supercharging, etc. It will be enjoyable, you will learn a lot, and you will be able to ask more informed questions. Plus you will be able to make more sense out of the literally thousands of posts on this site on these subjects.
I was just as clueless not that long ago myself. Still am quite clueless, but I have a much better handle on the basics now, and therefore get a lot more out of the stuff on this site.

Jeff, when you have parts missing from the kit straight out of the box, not to mention they "forget" to load the Air/fuel map on your EManage you might get an inkling on why I "might" have a problem with this kit.
It would have been different if they gave a damn seeing as I was one of the first (as well as you) to get the kit and they worked with me in resolving the issues, but they stonewalled me at every turn, and their indifference was alarming.

However, I'd say it was a unique one at that.
GReddy does not have great customer service, this is true.
However, if you want a laugh, try the customer service from HKS, Apexi or Blitz.
"Turbo kits", no matter how they may seem marketed otherwise, are not for the uninitiated. They are a starting place - especially at the GReddy price-point.
As far as missing parts, I've had 1/2 dozen new GReddy kits pass through my hands and not a single one was missing any parts.

It's not unique. There have been numerous threads on here about Greddy and their clear lack of customer service. With several posters that have had issues with their kits and Greddy's morose disregard for their customer is far more common than actually helping their clients.
And I have had 10X better service with HKS. It's not even close.
There were threads on here about other people who have had parts missing from their Greddy products and again they get pushed through their convoluted dealer system (where the Greddy Authorized dealers even get stone walled by Greddy).
I am on the 350Z board (www.my350Z.com) as well, and their Greddy twin turbo kits have the same issues have here. Poor quality controls (including kits where their are 2 same side exhaust manifolds, but none of the others, missing pipes, missing turbos, etc.), lack of service, poor tunes, etc. I brought up my issues, and I got literally dozens of responses of similar experiences with Greddy. They have mostly moved on to other kits, as a lot of people here have as well (Mazsport, Esmeril Racing, whereas for the 350Z it is APS, & Turbonetics having some success).

Hey Guys Im new to your forum, my wife and I bought an rx8 less than a year
ago and we really wanted to turbo to car more than anything. but we talk to one
of our sponsers through our car club and they were sketchy about doing our car
because they have already have blown 3 rx8s. they said in order for it not to
happen was to order a greddy e-manage ultimate from japan and do a methanol
kit so the motor doesnt detonate what can we do to turbo our car and not have
so many problems.
Thanks

the guy is gone, he's probably harassing some VW forum..........because we all know their turbos are awesome and the size of a baby's fist.............
and seriously with the greddy turbo, with all the bad experiences just from this site alone paints a picture that it is an inherently very bad financial and possibly physical risk to buy
