Installing Oil Pressure and Water Temperature Gauges
Boosted People,
How did you guys connect your oil pressure & water temprature gauges to your car? Where did you purchase the hardware like T-fittings and such.
Thanks!

Water temp you can buy a hose for around $100 (I believe it is the lower radiator hose) from Blitz that has a place for the sensor to attach, or make a custom sensor attachment.
Oil pressure can be many places, at the turbo, at the stock oil pressure sensor, or use an adapter plate at the oil filter.

I used the Blitz Cooling performer for the water, and the Greddy sandwich adapter for the oil temp and oil pressure (it sits inbetween the oil filter and the block).

The oil pressure sensor is on the drivers side of the block.
For the water temp gauge, I ended up making my own adapter from home depot's plumbing section. It cost me all of about $10. Just cut the heater supply line and place a T fitting in-line with it using two barbed to NPT connectors. The water temp sender just screws into the top of the T.

^^^That's the cheapest way to do the water temp. RB has a nice machined piece that will do it for you, too. I went their water temp adaptor and oil filter plate that has two outlets for temp and pressure.
RB =racing beat.

I have a couple left. I just found out from Japan there are more in stock so I'm going to have to order more .

I think I might get the water and oil sender adapter

The other oil block adapter I posted is made out of stainless steel, not aluminum like the RB version...and best of all it has two sensor locations instead of one like the RB one.

We sell both RB's and the Japanese parts so it is up to the customer.
You would have to see the aniversary part in person to understand. We love Racing Beat here...but this part is entirely different build quality.
There usually are reasons for Mazda Racing in Japan commissioning a part in Stainless Steel over Aluminum for their heavy duty race applications...but I could be wrong (maybe an engineer in Japan just said it looks prettier ).
