Interceptor-X tuning the Greddy Turbo Kit

I've searched the forums on this topic and have found some threads on it but nothing specific to my needs.

Thing is there aren't too many FI'd RX8's out here (Singapore) and the ones that are are all tuned by RE Amemiya or Knightsports who come down to town once every 6 months (ish).

The local scene has folks who are adept at tuning the FC/FD 13b which as I understand is inherently different from ours. I've known of 3 other RX's tuned locally (non-RE or Knightsports) of which two have already had their engines blow up.

I myself have absolutely no clue on how to tune and am currently in the process of fitting the kit on with a view on running it on Scott's base map (which I assume is pre-loaded on the software downloadable on the Mazsport website) till either RE or Knightsports is in town next.

Would like to find out from the more knowlegeble folks like Scott, MM, etc if they would be willing to give us (well...primarily my local tuner rather than I ) input over the phone if I were to book some dyno/street tuning time.

Would this be possible?

Or would anyone be willing to share their tuned Int-X maps for my tuner to use as a reference point? Other information like average temperature & list of mods would also be great.

Lastly, any tips or advice would also be very much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time,
Merv

p.s...btw MM, love your avatars (Shameless cry for advice and help!!!)

Heh.

Tuning the Renesis is no different that any other motor and it is particularly easy with the Int-X.

Just calculate your target injection values ahead of time and work with very conservative ignition timing. Compute values that put you at 11:1 or slightly richer and then start working p to leaner a point at a time, watching EGT vs. torque.

Heh my shameless cry for help worked

Given that every single engine is diff and there are a lotta other factors like temperature - I'm just curious to see just how far you have pushed the limits on the Greddy?

With that in mind, we would at least have some idea of a 'ceiling' that we'd approach with caution.

Anyone care to share their figues like ignition timing, etc pls?

Little something I have been working on.

Once all the stuff gets flushed out, you can calc your target injector values pretty easy. If nothing else look at the math, that is what you can do manually to determine your fuel requirements.
