You get what you pay for..no such thing as a universal turbo kit...turbocharging the 8 and not having alot of money to dump in the 8 do not go together...sorry...I've seen some used greddy kits for around 2200-2500 on the here though thats the cheapest you'll find

Buying any turbo would be about the dumbest possible thing you could do in your position .
Next time you get such an idea get someone to whack you over the head with a baseball bat .....

you honestly have to be kidding me....

If you cant afford to do it right then dont do it at all.... take that $850 and buy a nice exhaust... Buy a proper turbo when your out of school. A turbo is a few thousand not a full set up for 650... those parts look like garbage... and our engines are delicate with boost as it is, i dnt wnt to know what will happen with that.... thing....

you warranty will be void with the adding of this turbo as well so if you blow the engine they will just laugh at you. then youll be shelling out a few grand on a new engine

That turbo is the least of your worries.

There is no exhaust manifold which is the hardest part of the kit.

Then the adapter to join the turbo to the existing exhaust, 2nd hardest to do.

Add the lack of engine management, or even the right size tubing, for the epic fail

In all honesty I see these kits all the time on eBay and such but at the same time there I bet there has had to been plety of people who took at least time 5min or more trying to see how this would work on there rx-8 and if they should by it because they want a turbo.

If your still in school go buy a beater and then do the turbo kit properly. Take cAre of your engine and it will take care of u.
