ok, I think the BOV is supposed to sound like that, because when I go into full boost, it sounds like a whoosh sound, and when I'm in vacuum it sound like that clip.

question #2 I notice when I come to a stop or at stoplights the car tend to stall. when I start it up, it idles fine. is that because I need to recirculate my BOV?

I'm running the accessport. So, i'm just curious if that happens to anyone else running the accessport?

Pretty sure I have read that the HKS SSQV must be recircultaed, but you say in your 1st post that you are recirculating anyway...confused!

yeah, I had planned on it. but didn't get it done yet. I was trying to get everything running first.. also, I just got a p0410 code. would blocking off the greddy downpipe where the pump goes and blocking off the pump pop this code?

Nope.

You are having problems with your tune because you are not tuned.
Get on the new program.

Hmmm was there an issue? One that AP fixed? I swear I remember reading something. But then again I read somwhere that Turbo was better than S/C (or was it the other way around)? :D joking.

Cheers

There have been all kinds of incremental changes that added incremental "features" to the firmware that have slowly been sorted.

Somewhere along the line (I think when they added APV/SSV/VDI control), they broke some of the CEL/PID stuff.

God, it's so hard staying out of boost, lol. It just wants to move, even in negative pressure as it's climbing, I can feel the power difference. I'm too scared to let it go into boost without MM's calibration, since it's stalling while i'm moving. When stopped, it idles fine. I get a little bit of backfire when I let out the clutch a little to get the motor moving again from a stall.
Also, I'm so happy that the turbo quieted down my TurboXS Racepipe+Exhaust It sounds SOOOO much better now. My turbo installer commented on how it sounds exactly like an rx7 with that pipe. I feel the urge to WOT so bad, but know not to mess with it yet. Guess I'll see what it can really do in a few days..

Also, for those worried about putting a kit on a high milage engine, I have 70,489 miles on the car. after doing a compression check was getting mid to high 8's per rotor. compression was fine. had a small problem with idle a whle back, but it was because of oil deposits in the throttle body, which were solved by the catch can. Idle is dead on. I've been running MMO 4oz in the tank per fill up (MMO has a little solvent and a little lubrication) and after a plug change, noticed my plugs were pretty clean. I seafoam the engine about twice a year, once before summer, and once before winter. Just need 2 more upgrade, MM's GT3071R and a meth kit for cooling when it starts to get hotter out.

Ok, I have a small question. Do I need the Jet air fuel mixing nozzle hooked up to a check valve? I think would be the reason my BOV is fluttering, like a small little boost leak.

It's plumbed in right after the MAF, you can see in this pic.

Lol.. that's what my truck is for.. also, I'm waiting on MazdaManic to send me out my calibration before I drive. The car does sound thesex though. alot quieter than you remember because of the turbo, now it isn't unbearably loud, it's just right Car is sitting in my car port at the moment waiting for all the snow to dissapear.
God.. so bored.. Sunday's bite.
