just questions,,,,

hi scott, i decided to ask question in here.
last night, i put a turbo on, but the problem was in coils. we install the coils, it's started, but it didn't start the engine. i sounds going to satrt the engine but it didn't start. then we decided to gave a shot stock coils, it turned on immediately.
can you tell me what is going on with the upgraded coils????

Im 250 POUND 6'2'' guy

maybe the 8's are a freak of nature lol No clue
Freak of nature by using VASTLY MORE amounts of power to turn similar parts as other cars?

If you're door to door with a 350z, G35, and Mustang GTs, down the straights, they may be sand-bagging.

Racing Beat and Hymee each got about 217hp at the crank, from what I recall.

250 wasn't a lie. 250 was right. When it was frying cats, mazda jacked up the tunes to bring the emissions into compliance. I think Mazda simply applied math to the revised figure without actually testing the engine.

My car made 186whp on the same day, on the same dyno as a stock S2000 made 210whp. To me, that's evidence right there mazda is full of crap about their HP ratings on this car.

ok, we figure it out...

note: don't rely on the installation's pictures....make sure you know this wire diagram too when the installation happening..

"
EM L1 Green => MS Grey / Red
T1 White => MS Grey / White
L2 Yellow / Green =>MS Grey / Black
T2 Blue / Orange =>MS 2 wires a red & Grey

As for the MS harness to NEW coils I was told by Scott the LAST connector goes to the FIRST coil (L1) and the others follow in order T1,L2,T2 Like the photo in post #431
"

what happened with mine was the person who build up mine, putting the wrong order or wrong place of wire. my mechanic had to switch it around so it was installed according to wire diagram. so, mine would look like little ugly because it's backwards....but i don't mind as long as good quality.....

sandbagging?? what is that?

My car isnt stock.. ive got light mods but its enough.

I remember those pesky little EG hatches with GSR swap gutted used to hand my *** to me. like 1.5-2.0 car lengths now its .2 = a fender lol AKA DOOR TO DOOR. Hes just as fast as 350z's haha

sooo I dont think sand bagging or what ever it is justifies me being door to door.

I dont think s2k has anything on me.. but never ran against one

A Stock S2K can beat any Bolt On modded RX8 (Maybe not with a INT x or a ECU Flash)

**** the S2000, lol. I hate convertibles, and a crappy interior. QS., would it be better to go with the Cobb AP, or the Mazsport Ignition, my car is running a Mazdaspeed CAI, Exhaust, and RP supercat. I will have both soon, looking for one at the moment for most gains and practicality.

Do you have any idea what this thread is about, or about any of the discussions?

You're going off on CONVERTIBLES? lmao

Seems irresponsible to market HP claims in advertising before R&D has completed testing of the car. Perhaps the ads were drawn up, the change was made...and they decided to run the ads anyway.

217hp seems right: 20% losses = 173.6, 15% losses = 184.45. Right in the range of what people are getting on the dyno.

nope havent run against one YET. but srt 4's only beat me by 1.5 car lengths and bout 114 mph i start pulling it. they pretty quick in the straights hahaha.

I dont need dyno sheets to tell me or prove what my car can do..

my mods are

MS CAI, 9LB flywheel stronger clutch, sr power pulleys, greddy cat back. and all my fluids have been changes runnin royal purpel in the engine 5w-30, redline ligthweight gear oil 75-90 and same in the differential.

Nah - 250 was always a lie . We can hardly get that with all the bolt ons in the world . It is 232 that was right - before they detuned it to save the cats .....
But 215 is the "correct" number they should have advertised .

You should pull harder, No bog at pedal to the metal and I swear mine is quicker on the bottom end.

Still need a dyno run and track day to verify.

I did some calulations today and I believe with the correct mods we will have the same HP/weight as a stock Mustang V8 300 poine version.

There's a check engine light for that.

Edit: Try not to double post. (2 posts in a row). Follow the example of this post: edit original post and add to it.

You won't. Check engine lights don't "tell you" anything. There is one light on the dashboard that is activated for numerous problems. The only way to tell which problem has tripped a check engine light is taking it to a mechanic, dealer, or by having a compatible scan tool.
