You won't. Check engine lights don't "tell you" anything. There is one light on the dashboard that is activated for numerous problems. The only way to tell which problem has tripped a check engine light is taking it to a mechanic, dealer, or by having a compatible scan tool.

Power!!
Okay how about this. Please keep the conversation in this thread about the Mazsport ignition system and not about your racing escapades, catalytic converter questions or other miscellaneous crap that is not directly about the Mazsport Ignition system.
If you want to discuss other topics there are definitely other threads for those topics or you can private message people you find in this thread specific off topic questions.

My car bogs when I press the pedal to the metal. I have no cat, so I can hear exactly how rich my car is running... When I rev it at 3,000 RPM's and let the gas go, instead of the good ol' "one big pop". I get some 3-4 little pops...
Oh ya, and my car is slow as *****, while it gets horrible mileage. So I'll do a post of before and after.... But wtf kind of a post would that be?
"My car runs correctly!!!!" - Kind of dumb, that means that it was running incorrectly at some point. All my stuff coils, plugs, & wires are 10,000 miles new (in which I never knew I could feel a noticeable difference after 10,000 miles)... I'm more interested in posting my opinion of if it's better than the stock system, simply through the idea of feeling more power.

Mods please,
Would you please clean this thread a bit?
The thread covers one of the most interestings topics of the last few months and it should be kept in good shape for readers to learn about the Mazsport Ignition solution.
Please, delete this message too along with the "cleanage".
Thank you

Tailgaters beware
Here is a good comparison to what you will feel after you get your ignition. Keef you said your car bogs... I felt like my car was a turbo'd car with a lot of lag before getting my ignition. Immediatley after installing the ignition the difference reminded me of my 88 Toyo Supra Turbo after I switched to a 3" exhaust and down pipe, you'll get instant throttle response even at 3000 rpms, the car just wakes up.

Can anyone compare this Mazsport Ignition Solution to the HKS Twinspark? I know it's totally different technology, but would like to see if anyone has A-B comparisons between the two, or can describe the "feels-like" differences between them both at low RPMs and high, etc.

Tailgaters beware
I was told the HKS isn't worth buying becuase it just boosts the spark of the stock ignition and not really enough to see any big improvements, it may be good for a more stable and reliable stock setup but not really a big step up from stock. HKS can't be used to run higher boost just to improve reliability of the stock ignition at the same boost people run with stock ignition. On the other hand the Mazsport is a complete replacement and is more reliable and a big step up from the entire stock setup. People would not run higher boost relying on the HKS but they will with the Mazsport. I do not have first hand knowledge of all this but this is what I have been told about the HKS twin spark a year or more before the Mazsport was even out.
