OOOo nooooooo, so there is a hidden cat behind this story, lately news are not so good as I can see, well the problem is that I am beggining to have some trouble with my ignition solution, I know that the problem can be from the spark plugs to the Ignition S. but my spark plugs are oem and not older than 3000milles.
the problem is happening or appears sometimes, now recently more often when I pass 7000k MISFIRE, MISFIRE, then when I hit it again and again it starts to desapear, then it is gone, the car flies again, like if the spark plugs were dirty and then they clean up! it could be a loose conection? spark jumping to earth? the igniter? do not know so please if somebody has a possible answer please let me know. By the way scott is not here in Peru he must be with the AIG executives in some luxery hotel!!

Momentum Keeps Me Going
Things to check...
- grounds, there are lots of wires connections and some to the block...sandpaper and make sure good connection everywhere, painful but necessary
- coil to plug wires are hard to 'snap' to get the correct connection, make sure you didn't just push on, say 'good enough' you have to 'feel' the snap
- make sure the coil braket is secure and tight bolted down

hmmm. I have to change out plugs like right now! if I had some laying around. anyway, my engine in it's current state since my last rene blew up, 05' block purchased w/ 15K on her tight ***. right now it may have roughly give or take 35K the most.
shes runs great w/ old *** 16k plugs. (rough figure) during hot starts, I have noticed some (delay) while cranking. I also noticed some power loss when driving her before her sweet spot 5.5K rpm w/the stock cat recently installed. (buttdyno verified)
I'm having a hunch since I just read this entire thread that it may have to do with my worn out plugs or my mz sport ign. I'm planning on doing a compression/leak down test since I'm going turbo. (still in progress) like stated I still have to change out plugs and experience the difference in pwr/hot start.
once I do change out the plugs I will give my feedback on this thread. wish me luck......
if it's a fail, HANDS DOWN, I will cop bhr's coils. I'm old skool and tend to like msd products on our rotaries....

Double check your dwell setting make sure it is at 3.5ms, this assuming you are a forced induction application becasue of having a mis-fire and hesitation at that specific RPM.

I don't buy Kool-Aid
Good read. My friend has been running his Mazsport coils for some time now and has not had any issues.
For me, well due to the fact that "coils" are known to go and plugs start getting old, I keep a set in my trunk in a bag ziptied up to the top where my spare tire would be. Keeps it out of the way and is filled with the tools I need to swap back to stock. Sad but true.
Any how I have had 0 issues with mine and thats on a dd 8.
I do plan on getting other systems. I really do. But for now, like the saying goes; "if it aint broke dont fix it"

lol, I meant the trunk spare coils kit in Dominion's post. But since you brought it up, the Mazsport kit is going to be sold again??? Let me guess...
I am just going to run my stock coils for now. It takes me a long time install a mod on my car because of the researching pros/cons. I really like my car the way it is.

I had a Mazsport kit, and switched to LS2 coils,
I still have the 4 Mazsport coil packs, anyone wants the coils?
The igniter box went away to Denny in GA.
I am using the coil mount for my LS2 coils.
PM me if you want the 4 coils as spares..

I installed these today and they are awesome, they pull hard from low to high rpms I took these bad boys to 10k rpm today with no problem. The were breaking my tires loose in first, second, and with every turn, and I was barely pressing on the gas. My tires have lots of tread and have great grip compared to the stock Dunlops which weren't that bad.
The oems coils I replaced were good, I checked them with a timing gun, however accurate that may be, they had only 7k miles on them.
I was in second for a while and pressed on the gas a little bit more and broke traction again while in the same gear, I was very happy, smiling from ear to ear. On the highway it was a great feeling since it felt so much easier to get up there in speed and the engine sounded stronger. These coils pull very strong and very hard. I am very happy with these and work very well with my NA 8
Thank you all for helping me with my decision with these coils and not the Okada plasma coils. I hope to eventually compare them with other ignition coils out there.

Because the BHR team is trying to throw dirt onto me to make themselves look better?
Scott and Mazsport are long gone.
More fuel to the fire of what is untrue.
