If i had known theyre not so much, I wouldnt have started this because I am in search for a reliable car to last me to about atleast 150k miles. THANKS TO EVERYONE though who has put up with me through this thread . I appreciate the help

plz find a car as fun as this one and let us know. who cares about reliability, cars are meant to be driven out, otherwise we wouldnt have such amazing cars and engines. and car manufacturers dont design cars to last.. if they did, they'd be out of business because you would never buy another car again.. and if they have the option of a plastic screw or a steel screw, obviously they'll go the cheap route

sources: common sense

I have actually bought a rotary engine because of its reliability when track driven...

well yes, every car is reliable to a degree, but for the most reliable car out there... i dont know. only other car i had was a sebring convertible, which had the 2.7L engine.. which could pretty much fail at anytime. mine happened to be at 107k miles.. i've seen as low as 50k on it... again, just depends on the car, driver, and engine

^ On the track is were it counts... Depends on what you want and the rotary has proven just how reliable it is in "race" form... ANYWAYS

Yeah, when your engine hour counter counts 100hrs per rebuild instead of 35\40...

alright, well.. not everyone takes it to the track. i would like to one day.. but i dont even know if it would even make it to the track, let alone go on the track. it seems the OP isnt going that route, which thus leads to the question, "whats the point?" for all the crap he asked about..

and btw, "fast as ****" is slow, cuz **** dont move. it stays sizzlin on the ground... fast as ****, go buy a civic

I did prime the aluminum with a high temp self etching primer to make sure it stays stuck to the block though. Hopefully it wont peal or flake off... we'll find out once it's running. I was going to powder coat it, but decided not to waste any more money than I already had.
