1st of all if you are buying a motor from a engine finder company--make sure you get the vin number go to your dealership and have them run the mainataince record for that car---they can verify the miles on the engine at that time--believe you me they will advertise an engine as a 15K one when in fact it will have 50K on it--ask me how i know.
3--- and best of all--if your car cranks ok and goes into boost---it may NOT be blown. Do a good double duty carbon cleaning on it---call Cam at Pettit racing and he will tell you the stories. The seals/springs may be just stuck/gummed up so bad that they allow a great deal of blowby and lost compression. It is worth a try and it is a cheap thing to do.
6- clean the leading sparkplug hole space between the end of the plug(you ARE running the rx 7 cold trailing barless plug arent you?) and the combustion chamber before you crank your new engine and everytime you take the plug out--it has sharp edges and a recess spot that is a haven for carbon buildups and detonation sites!
10- if your engine is blown--and you have 50K on the engine---most likely---but maybe not ---both housings are not useable and at least one rotor. it is cheaper to buy a low milage engine than it is to buy 2 housings and a new rotor.
Hate to tell you this but there is one on e bay for $1600---seems good.
If I can help give a holler

My point was that Andre thought this issue through from a hundred different angles and there was a reason why he hired me. I seem to remember a time when Benny wanted ALL SORTS of help from me regarding nitrous on his car and I gave it to him. Just like I did Tajabaho.
There is a non-zero probability that my engine is not blown, but that's not where the smart money is. Either way, we'll find out for sure on Sunday with the good mojo Ray will throw down.

Hey Shane--good luck with it man---I know busy and time restraints.
Didnt mean to sound like you didnt get a good deal on your engine 2100 for a certified low mileage engine is a good deal.
Mazsports injectors ? I didnt know that---most certainly you should be fine.
On the water meth system i also think i know what you mean. i relocated my oil filter and added a custom ww bottle to the spot on the firewall where the old ww used to be so i may end up with a trunk mount tank. Run out of space quick. Odyssey battery didnt work for me --the electric power steering was too much of a drain for a daily driver. So no space there either.
On the bigger seal thing ---if you have detonation it doesnt matter how big the seal is. the 3 mm seals can let you get away with a little more boost but if it detonates right--they will go too.

Finally Boosted!!!!!!!
I think this thread should be an eye opener and a warning to a lot of people wanting to go FI. If you are not prepared to spend $5000-$10000 on your FI setup and another $3000-$5000 on a new engine or transmission, then you probably should not be going FI.
Take slavearm for example. He was running a properly installed and tuned Mazsport Turbo kit. His boost and his tune were not that agressive. Yet his engine went, seemingly out of nowhere. There are more stories like this all over this forum. Just ask SlideWayz, MM, or Olddragger.

I have been joking with my brother in law and neighbor that I should just be shipping my car to Puerto Rico for a few weeks and have it sent back with a 20B.

I looked at that but even the 2 quart size tank really doesnt fit without a custom tray and i then wonder were to put the pump. If you have your ww tank you can convert to it --but i like having a ww to use.
Hey T--all fi's dont blow! I would advise a lot of research before fi however. Upkeep and what to look for is much different. So people have been running for a long time with FI. Esp the rx7's

On target. Old engine is out as of a few minutes ago... Scott gave us a list of things to swap (Thanks Scott), and the processing is going. I expect to fire it up on Wednesday. My new engine came with everything, but the alternator.
