The newest 100% bolt on Greddy Hybrid turbocharger!

Here is a sneak peak preview of the compressor side of the Greddy turbocharger. It is machined custom for a custom 58 lb/min compressor wheel that is a High volume, low pressure compressor. The plans are with this option is to have a water cooled center section to get rid of the turbine seal failure woes that come with a non water cooled center section. Thrust assembly is also upgraded to flow more volume and to have more thrust bearing to collar surface area. The turbine will be clipped to minimize back pressure.

There will be an option for a 49 lb/min compressor as well.

I know you guys have been interested for a long time for a robust Greddy turbocharger. Well, here is the answer!

Thats all the pics for now. I will have more pics in around a week. I have all the other parts coming, I just wanted to make sure that wheel fit in the housing. And with some careful measuring and altercations, I made it work very nicely.

Someone please post up compressor maps for both the 50 trim and the 60-1 compressor wheels. This will be your choices to pick from.

Bryan you can talk about product in informative/technical/ are you interested? discussions but you cant solicit sales by posting your email or links to your business or post pricing etc without first making arrangements with the forum owners.

you can contact the IB guy directly at marvin.suerto@carsdirect.com rather than using the advertising link

I think these are it - the T3 maps are not nearly as well suited for our cars.

I would be more concerned about the Water Cooled CHRA that the flow map to be honest.
If you already have a Greddy then you know the power of the "evil" snail which isn't bad at all - getting one to last 50K or more would be really nice.

The better power is just a bonus IMO.

Wrong map! That is the 60 trim not the 60-1. Huge difference. The other is a T04E 50 trim.

Yeah, the 60 is wrong. I think there is a map of a T04B 60-1. It is actually an E wheel, but that is what garrett has it as.

Alright guys,

The turbo in the picture is mine that Bryan is currently working out. Some plans are to fit a 60-1 compressor wheel inside the "base" Greddy turbo. Also make it a water cooled center for an "extended" lifetime per say. I am also looking if he can port the turbine side so I can have some room to grow with. Stay tuned for what seems to be a promising option for us Greddy turbo owners. As I have heard nothing but great things about BNR!

+1 for Bryan's goodies. I've installed several of these on customer cars over here. High quality and reliable.

this looks promising for sure. my biggest concern is the wastegate. any chance it can be increased in size?

Porting the wastegate is no problem. Clipping the turbine wheel actually helps with boost control as well. Put the two together and you have a better control. If you guys want a huge wastegate valve, it will be major surgery to the turbine housing.

The turbine housing can be ported in one spot to open up flow a bit. I'm not saying the housing will flow 400 RWHP, but I think it can come pretty close. A 10 cm2 Mitsubishi is equal to a .72 a/r Garrett. Its a little small, but for what you guys are needing, it will do the job.

good deal, sounds even better then. i dont think most here are looking for a turbo that will flow that much anyway. i think most people once they actually drive an 8 putting down 300-350 they will be shocked at how fast it really is compared to stock, and that is more than enough for most

flowing enough air for 300+ on the Greddy turbo while also being more reliable (water cooled) would be a GODSEND!

Bryan,

Can we go ahead and port the wastegate and turbine housing on my order. I am trying to "maximize" the turbo now so that I dont have to upgrade in the future.

Thanks,
Justin
