218HP with a 60shot??? no way. to me that straight up sucks. I guess its time to finally take my car to the dyno cause i know from the cars i've beaten i'm pushing more than that with just a 55 shot. Especially since my friend that has a s2k is runing a 65 and he's neck to neck with me. And he dynoed 208.43 n/a before he got the spray.

well taj ... what all did you change on your setup ...and now that your 100% ... any chance of another run ... with the fuse pulled also? not trying to gete you to spend all your money on the dyno .. .just really curious on what a small shot can do on this car ..

I will be taking my car in for a dyno hopefully today, I don't know whether the dyno will be available though, but if it is, I will pay it a visit.....
as of right now, I am running a 65 shot @ 975 psi (I know Ray, I just had to XD)
fuel is running at 60psi which I take is optimum for our cars
all ignition systems are checked, the sparkplugs are NKGs, the coils are 200miles old.
The fuel system has no leaks, the engine has 9.9:1 compression. running 4 OZ/tank idemitsu premix, new engine and tranny oil
we'll see what happens

Details, man! I may yet go nitrous, so interested in hearing any info.
BTW, you should probably update the first post in this thread with the dyno chart, so that people who get this thread off a search don't have to wade through 10 pages of nothing.
Looking forward to the updated chart!

lol, I scheduled for 3 today, I will go in for another dyno run, I hope I see the improvements
as of right now, what I did was change my oils, my sparks, coils, recheck everything, change tranny oil, added premix, re-configure my solenoid (and did some funky timing to it, which worked great on the street, I need to know the numbers though), added bottle heater, regardless of what people say THIS IS A FREAKING MUST HAVE!!!. I changed to a 65 shot(again), and upgraded my line from the stock zex ones and lined them with heatshield, I also changed the nitrous injector to Nos, am using stainless steel jets, nitrous pressure gauge.......
I can totally feel the difference, you can just feel it now, unlike before where you see the tach go a bit faster, this time it really hits u in the ***

Lol you did all that in a couple days? Not bad I am sceptical about what the heat shield on the nitrous lines will do for you, but the bottle warmer is definitely a must - without correct pressure in the tank you'll be running rich and losing power.
Any particular reason for using the NOS nozzle? And are you using 65/65 jets now?
What did you reconfigure on the solenoid? What do you mean by "funky timing"?
Also, if you haven't done it already I suggest changing the diff fluid as well. I used redline in tranny and diff and did it separately - I personally felt more improvement from the diff oil change than from the tranny.

65 shot actually uses 36/19 jets
65/65 is 150 dry shot a little on the rich side
I opened the solenoid, found the flow switch module and screwed around with it a bit, I'll explain it once I get the dyno graph
i did tranny and diff the same day, I used idemitsu for both.

^= lol taj... 7oz per 14g fillup
I meant, you're using the 65-shot jets for both fuel and nitrous. Ok.
Opening the control box and screwing around? Sounds like dangerous business. Did Ray put you up to this? I demand details. And a chart. NA and nitrous. Good luck with the run.

I am not worried, I just think your an idiot when you do things like that. After you do all your senseless tinkering around and discover that Zex had it right in the first place, and remember that I have been writing about how well this system works when used as intended, don't act surprised or act as if you made a major discovery. The rest of we nitrous users have been experiencing what you are describing for a long time now.
