Nitrous use with AEM or MS intake

hey i've searched this but found nothing and i've asked this earlier but nobody gave me a real concrete answer so here it is...

has anyone used nitrous with the MS or AEM intake? the reason why i am asking this is because these intakes have the MAF sensor pretty close to the throttle body and im trying to figure out where to put the nozzle( aka fogger or whatever you wanna call it).

if anyone has any experience please share with me and pics would be nice too

Cool

If the Nitrous System is a wet one(injects nitrous and fuel through the same nozzle) then the extra oxygen supplied by the nitrous is already being compesated with fuel right there at the nozzle. This means that u do not need the Factory ECU to compensate for this extra amount of oxygen. If you locate the nozzel before the MAF it will read all this extra "air" and try to compensate with the factory injectors causing a rich condition. I suggest that u mount the nitrous nozzle after the MAF but before the Throttle body. I wouldnt even recomend messing with a dry system. Hope this helps.

yea i understand that concept but the distance of the MAF to the throttle body on the AEM or MS intakes are less than 6inches which the nozzle needs atleast 6...what im trying to say is that will there be any issues if the nozzle were like 2inches from the throttle body?

There will be no issues with it being closer to the throttle body. Our intake manifold is designed like a long curved tube which will give plenty of distance after the throttle body for the nitrous/gas to mix well with the incoming air before being divided into each rotor. The recomendation they give out is a universal one that is more than likely oriented towards honda style 4 cylinder engines in which the throttle body sits right in front of the first runner therefore allowing an uneven delivery of nitrous to each cylinder if enough distance isnt allowed for the nitrous to mix with the incoming air. I recommend that u place the nozzle between 2"-3" after the MAF. This will place it about 4"-3" before the throttle body and at the same time keep it far enought from the MAF to prevent any effect on its reading. Hope this clears your doubts.
