Respect

what we are asking is a little bit of respect. Everyine deserves that. He can keep posting and developing the car, that is a plus for us, but with respect and professionalism. That's it.

No more bickering here or we'll start giving out warnings and mandatory time off. SFR keep up your work. There are those out there that appreciate it. However please don't argue with people. It won't get you anywhere. Let them disagree and go on with their business. Anyone here regardless of what position they take will be dealt with if need be. Let's not let it come to that.

Regardless of what everyone's personal feelings or opinions are, and regardless of who may be right or wrong, he is also not getting respect and professional treatment. It has been a 2 way street on this thread with shots from both sides and it is going to stop. He deserves as much respect as you or anyone else does. Someone please be the first to show it. If you disagree with him, that's your right.

RG Do u think this comment is not respectful? I am advicing the guy but he does not want to apologize for how he made us feel like. Sometimes you try to say something and people misintepreted it, but if you could not explain yourself then apologize and start all over again. He seems reluctant to admit he made a mistake. Come on there is nothing wrong with making a mistake

Apologies on that. I have merely skimmed through a couple of pages and noticed mostly bickering. I don't need to see every word to see the thread trend and it's a trend that we don't need. I thank you for at least making an attempt to calm things down.

RotaryGod,

I never treated that gentleman any different than he was treating me. In fact, I used his language and quoted him half the time.

I have already appolligized to all of the Rx8 club members and I never once Bashed his product or his company. In fact, Since the inception of his company's thread I have done nothing but praise his work and his efforts on the kit that his company was producing for our RX8's.

I was simply asking him what he ment by saying what he said about every member on this board "People with similiar priced cars spend more money on their turbo kits then guys with the RX-8s are willing to spend. Just something to think about."

If he wasn't prepared to here the consequences of his statement then maybe he should have refrained from making it.

Respectfully,
Punishr
Dwight, Houston Rx7/Rx8 club member

OK you guys might be taking my comments too personally or misinterpreting me. I'm not mad at any of you personally or anything so don't think I'm trying to be a thread ****. I just don't want this topic going back and forth anymore and I have to stop it somehow. I don't care if he's to blame or anyone else is. The whole point is that the thread was starting to get ugly. That may or may not have been his way of taking a shot at the RX-8 owners. I don't know and I really don't care. It's far easier to let some things go sometimes than it is to risk someone misinterpreting it and getting mad. Even innocent things or comments can go wrong. I just want a positive thread. That's it.

allright guys i made this thread to inform people and to let them know about this kit (SFR). yeah i might be late at times with the info but i try to get it as soon as i can. SFR is really a good bunch of people. ive been there everyday for the past month and they almost feel like my 2nd team. people on this board disects every little word placed here. this was happening when i posted about my Carbon fiber kit. people want to see it, they like it, someone disagrees the first time and everyone gets in it. lets all just calm ourselves. i appologize for making this thread the way it has become. since the first guy with the SFR turbo didnt post anything about his kit. i felt that it was my duty to inform to my fellow club members(even after the fact that i was getting shots from most of you guys about my carbonfiber kit). but all i was trying to do was to inform everybody. isnt that what a forum is about.

I can't believe some people here can be such an a$$... and I'm not talking about speedforceracing either... Dudes, you got the power of your computer in your hands, if you don't like what you're reading then go to the lounge. We are all adults here, you may point out anybody's mistakes, omissions, or insults but please move on.

I for one would like to know more about different FIs available and you guys hijacking this thread with your useless, childish: "he did it! You did it! No, you did it!" posts just makes me want to puke all over my keyboard...

And if you're true to form I bet you'll be bashing me too.

Great, one of two companies to have FI out and he's gone.

Big loss to members who might have had questions in the future of needed help. Ive never seen a forum treat a sponsor so bad.

I admit I thought is was unprofessional when SFR didnt post the dyno's on time as promised, but I didnt hold a grudge this long.

SFR/Tim I hope you reconsider and continue to assist forum members.

Dig, how bout some pics and a new vid of your turbo.

Are you really that suprised? Its no wonder it takes things so long to come out for our car. I don't blame him, in fact he stayed a lot longer than I would in his position.

Well I've never seen any results. All talk. As far as I am concerned the first turbo came in and had it removed so he can bring it in for warrenty work.

I bet that car had 10,000 miles on it when the turbo was installed, NOT 10,000 miles on the turbo.

That's why people kept questiong the price no results, except a bad one.

Sure would be nice if it is a good product but who know?

Right now, I don't trust them. In fact I'm not sure I trust any of the Turbo's yet (relibilty). One person has already reported blowing up the Greddy. Or was it two?

one thing that REALLY PISSES ME OFF here is that people are so disrespectful in general, i never read your thread buit i could tell it would be a disaster, people here in general arent into extravagant kits, make it all CF and well...you're going to have a recipie for something that is not going to be well accepted here. people are way to harsh on something just because its not thier tastes, i say, hey, it was done professionally, and clean, thumbs up, no matter what i think about it, IT DOESNT ******* MATTER the person likes it so that means its good! thats why im going to be afraid to post mine when im done, its mazdaspeed sides, FEED front, abflug rear, MS wing, CF hood...very conservative in the import world but id get grilled here...

oh, and congratulations to the two or three guys that shoo'ed him away, he put a lot of work into developing a turbo kit here for us(we obviously dont have any real serious power options, the greddy is adds about .2 to your 0-60 times) now our only option is PTP >.>

No matter how interested we can be on his product, he got to treat people in a respectful way. I think he didnt do it on purpose but sometimes misunderstandings happen and there is when you have to apologize. It is not too hard to say "sorry guys, i didnt mean that". That is all. It is all attitude. I have nothing against the guy, and he seems to be working good in pro of our RX8 society but sometimes you have to be a little sensitive when talking to people because some people might interpret what you say in different ways, and this time it was not just one guy who misunderstood what he said but 4 or 5 guys.
That's all I am saying, hope he comes back in a good attitude. Everyone is welcomed here...

i know his intent was not what you think it was, his actions show it why would he be doing what hes doing if he thought what you accused him of? he got defensive when you started grilling him obviously, so i think there was just a misunderstanding

Agree with U lschavio. He should show some respect to his customers. I think they are very misterious sometimes, with no hard evidence

Seeing that they claim virtually no gains with any of their mods, certainly nothing even outside of dyno variance, and they make that very clear, I don't see why it really matters.

I think you guys are way too hard on SFR. Greddy still has yet to publish ANY concrete proof of any kind of performance measure for their kit. Niether will HKS, or any other large company. I think its great the SFR chooses to publish dyno's, make videos, POST on the board. Not many large companies post and have converations with their customers the way SFR and PTP do.

About the price, this kit is not for everyone. Not everyone can or wants to spend $7k more on the car, I would if I could afford it, but can't. That doesn't mean they are stupid for making the kit, or are a bad company. I like that the option is out their down the road, but for now Greddy was more in my price range. But there will be people who buy this kit, and hence SFR did their job.

I just can't believe you guys had a company that makes performance parts for our car on this board, where we could openly discuss issues and you drove them away. I don't think they were that rude. Different people take things different ways. I took the 350z comment as his observation as a performance shop, that 350z owners are willing to spend more on a turbo kit. In my opinion, that doesn't convey rx8 owners are cheap. It just means they choose not to spend alot of money on turbos. Maybe they spend it on other things though.

I hope SFR chooses to continue posting as there are many on this board who are genuinely interested and would like to discuss your kit. For those who aren't interested, don't buy their kit and don't continue to read this thread, there are many other threads you can spend your time on.

First Rotary Extreme. Then Canzoomer. Now SFR. These are all reputable tuners/venders that have chosen to stop participate in any more forum discusssions after being bashed on by our members. Now we have one less resource.
