Kane - i'm trying to understand how this works .

I think i get why it gets better gas mileage . Because at cruise it leaks pressure back into the intake tract . By doing this the turbo is not working as hard and therefore the motor is not under quite as much load - therefore better mileage (so long as you recirc.)

As for why this helps in spoolup or power in any way - can't figure that out ......

Other than the turbo spooling better because of less surge between shifts, and the leaks...I don't get how it will work better than say no BOV ..or a "properly functioning" conventional style

Ok - if the motor has to work less hard to make the same power - then how hard does it have to work to spool the turbo.....less - therefore it will provide more power sooner to overcome the rotating resistance of the turbo.

If you are still confused then all I can say is use it - and you will see.

Also it smokes a lot. kind of mellows out but then comes back. Not sure what it is, the smoke its self is white.
didn't remixlp's car only rev to 4k at first?

also where is the smoke coming from? engine bay? does it have a distinct smell?

mine did that too after I installed my upgrade and put new thermotape under the car near the turbo...it stopped eventually....just stuff burning off.

I'm pretty sure its his omp. Since he pulled and stripped his engine, he may not have adjusted it correctly.

yeah cause adjusting a OMP is so much harder than putting an engine back in. lol

Step One: Remove Turbo (4 Bolts and a Coupler)
Step Two: Throw Turbo in trash (kicking is optional)
Step Three: Order a real turbo

Not too hard to rebuild.....
