Hmmm. I idled at ~10.6 for a long time with no real trouble starting (other than in cold temps which was not really idle AFR related) and never flooded. Then again, if you run much richer than that and stall, it might become an issue. The mass flow of the engine at idle is pretty low so fuel consumption even at 10:1 is not drastic. It certainly doesn't help your MPG though.

I had a similar problem when I forgot to connect the coolant temp sensor... Just in case it's tuned for a car with same injectors. I mention it because when it warmed up it ran better, because it wasn't changing map when car warmed up since it had no temp reading...

Dan was also in a different environment than you, and the Int-X doesn't respond well to atmospheric or environmental changes.

Every time the weather changes, you tune goes to ****.

moroso 3.5 quart a/w intercooler tank with filter and a fuel cell type lid....if i ever what to drop some dry ice in there. on the passenger firewall is the snow w/m controller(black box), wwf tank and remote oil filter. the little filter on the driver side firewall is a crankcase vent and where we pettit folks add the crankcase oil. the red lines are the w/m lines of course--the little black box right behind the battery is a voltage stabilizer--appears to work--my data collect lines on the graphs were smoother after the install,
+ lot more stuff in there somewhere

Ok so I busted the rubber O-ring on the MAF sensor cuz I tightened too much. Anyone know the size for that or how best to get a replacement?

you shouldn't bust them by tightening up the sensor as the seal on the inside of the hole not the flat surface.

I think it is a 28 x 1.5 mm ? if you busting them then go a little smaller 27x1.5 any bearing and seal shop will probably just give you one.

Well last the last time it was intact, it was looking a little loose and worn, so it probably got pinched that last time I put the MAF on. Thanks for the sizes, I'll try to hunt some down.

Curious, why did you decide to not boost your Renesis?

well for one the reliability of it. there is only a few guys that are with in the power range i want that have had a success with the renny.. now i feel that it would be better for me to not boost it so i can keep driving it this year while i work on my 2 project engines.
the esmeril turbo is a good turbo for those that want minor power and wont use it hard on track/street. for my purpose i would have to upgrade turbo and wg to have a safe kit. thats 2k more. plus tunning and anything that will happen with a boosted renny. so i decided to go with a na type engine that will be safer and take abuse a little better.

What power range were you shooting for? I definitely understand if you plan on tracking the car extensively that you would be concerned about the reliability, especially with more upgrades being required. I agree the turbo should be upgraded for the Esmeril kit.

Interesting, I didn't know that existed. Will I be able to take the sensor out after I use that? Don't want it glued in permanently.

300-350whp. if i dont sell it within a month ill just rebuild it and do one engine build instead of 2. but yeah turbo is crap and i think it will harm me more than do me good.

I know i can. But the thing is. How reliable will them 300-350 hp are they gonna be? Who knows i can hit that mark and 100 miles later turbo goes, or 100,000 miles. Either way i do NOT want to find out how many. i dont want to risk it. So i have a plan for something more reliable that can hit that mark... Also how many esmeril owners out there with a 350whp car?? I don't want to be first to find out what happens then.
