Dear Kane,

Can you update my info please on the first post?

Turbo--fluid motorsports upgraded GReddy turbo
according to Bryan here is some info about it:

Bryan@BNR
Here is a flow chart

Also I am now running an AEM water/methanol injection kit
BHR TB spacer
BHR ignition
I have also ditched a boost controller for now and I tightened the wastegate actuator arm as far as it could go. It is running about 7psi off gate pressure only.

That is all.

Sincerely,
05rex8

There are quite a few differences in manufacture.... I think the Fluid one is a hundred or so cheaper. But the BNR one is oil and water cooled - and an all around better turbo.

Why was that ????

You know you can get way more boost than that without a boost controller ......

it might even be closer to 8 psi average..sometimes I see around 9 but as you know so well with the lovely greddy turbo that psi fluctuates at certain rpm's.

tweak it up to 10psi at least or else what is the point of the upgraded turbo ?Above 9 is where it really flys. Your tuning maps should handle it .....

Preach it brother... I've been without mine for 2 months, and its been miserable. Going from driving a Geo Prism to a 300+ whp RX-8 was... quite a jump.

i agree with you. i have been running with greddy turbo, and now mazsport, and i keep running 8-9 psi, and my car is just happy (knock teh wood).
i have been turboed for 12500 miles, and everything is still like used to be. i am making 300whp on low boost, but it feels good to have RX8 turboed.
i hope you are enjoying your car....

True story... epic torque. What did we decide was the criteria for baller status anyway? Isn't the whole 300+ club baller status? It's not like there are a lot of us.

LOL!

I know I would have gotten it- I picked up 10-12rwhp and over 55ft-lbs of torque with new timing in higher load and rpm (thanks to Kane). Then I kept running rich and couldn't get boost to rise, but I think I would have had it.

I might be going back soon enough, LOLz

There should be something for my torque....like Stump Puller Status for people with over 300 ft-lbs

Oh yeah Kane you can update mine with the new numbers and my Custom LS2 Ignition System

It will only get higher and higher and harder for some at the same time to become baller status
