sounds like you might have a boost leak somewhere, or maybe detonation and the ecu was pulling timing. dont know. what octane fuel are you running. check all intake pipe connections

did you disconnect the rear speed sensors so the ecu did not sense that the front wheels were not moving and kick the car into limp mode to keep you from losing control?

I've seen a lot of 8's dynoed with none pulling the rear ABS sensors and they still pulled 170-180 rwhp on a dynojet. I know some have mentioned this as a possibility of causing "limp mode" but I don't buy it. I would recheck your turbo setup. But why not "break out" that old argument again.. haven't heard it come up in awhile... :p :p https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-engine-tuning-forum-63/limp-mode-16738/

EDIT....
With the GT package, did you hold down the DCS button for 10 seconds before dynoing??

I however do buy the wheel sensor removal before dynoing. I was with a friend who dynoed a turbo eight before I had my turbo on (have not dynoed mine yet) and he only got like 154 wheel horsepower. Wheel sensors were not disconnected because he did not have his lug key. so it makes real sense to me, also make sure dsc is turned off by holding it for ten seconds. Other than that, something is bad wrong with the dyno or your setup. how does it feel when driving?

why dont you just compare 0-60 times before and after or street start or whatever... isn't that what really matters?

AWD tends to take a lot more off the driveline. They usually take off 25% driveline loss for that. Don't know if your car (a RWD) on an AWD dyno would still lose that or not (AWD Dyno registering it differently)

The front rollers are not connected when you run a RWD car. So it makes no matter.

Maybe his car has the same virus mine does. HP worms.

Post the dyno graph.
If your hp curve stops going up after 6k rpms, your having the problem I did. The map was way too rich. Got it tuned and its better now.
I got mine tuned today also on a dynojet. I got 218hp/ 180tq, much better than the 194hp/164tq I had on a mustang dyno.

Check this thread for the 2 different dyno graphs and how tuning it leaner fixed my problem.

Also, on the dynoruns we didn't disconnect the wheel sensors.
We only removed the DSC/ABS fuse in the fuse box (60A). The traction control light came on but no CEL and no loss of power.

Check this thread for my running rich / lossing power problem.
I need to see the dyno graph before saying thats your problem also.

Yup. It's a bigger fuse, not the regular small ones. Also, don't panic after you put it in and the TCS/ABS lights are still on. Once you drive above 10mph they'll clear.

I was at turbotrix last saturday and my bro got his evo dynoed. it appears there is something wrong with their dyno. he pulled about 40-50 less hp than expected. the guy after him got new cams and had a 10hp drop. so it seems that there is something wrong with the dyno there, try calling them and seeing what is up.

did you have to hang out in their lot ALL DAY for a dyno pull that should have taken no more than an hour too?

I tried to dyno my car a few weeks ago at my regular place & the dyno basically failed. Said their magnet was going bad. Well, this blows.
