Opinions on FI on mazda remanufactured engine?
In preface: I've wanted to FI for quite some time, in prep for an MM install this summer I started wondering about the health of my renny and essentially had a dealer compression check it. It was determined that my compression was failing(36k mi) and mazda is in the process of replacing my engine. I'm currently planning on having the reman engine compression checked once the install is complete but was looking to get some opinions on the possibility of turbo charging the swapped engine.
What would you suggest:
Avoiding FI entirely, waiting for X amount of miles, doing it immediately?
just looking for some opinions to help guide me in the decision.
Those of you who went FI and blew the engine, what were the repair costs like? Would you do it again?
Thanks~
