Pettit Normally Aspirated Engine Experience
Hi!!! Try to find threads or specific posts regarding this normally aspirated engine... very difficult and mostly related to Pettit super charge.
Wanted to know the experience any of you have had with everything regarding to a Pettit normally aspirated rebuilt up-grade.
Tks for any imput,

Pettit engines have pettit rotor housing mods which improve exhaust port cooling and minimize surface protrusion around lead plugs, oil system mods improve oiling, main and rotor bearings clearanced to race specs, micor finish on all critical surfaces, clean room assembled and static compression tested.
They can use 2mm FD seals for improved realiability and street port the engine as well.
Just contact Pettit and ask them about it.

I have a pettit built engine. I am supercharged--but that really doesnt matter.
The engine is solid and it comes with Pettits guarantee.
I pull about 20 of vacuum at idle and no load, my oil pressures are "different" than anyone elses that I know of. I run 5W30 redline oil and the hot idle pressure is around 50 but the max pressure is a little over 90. Even my cold start pressure doesnt go above 92 or so.
The oil heats up faster and runs hotter ( not too hot) I think due to the increased oil circulation from the modified oil channels etc's that Cam did. IDK for sure but that is the only explaination I can think of.
Cam builds a great engine--you cant go wrong with him. tell him I sent ya for the $1 olddragger discount.
