Dropping the Big One

Guys, I've fought this as long as I can, but my health has been continuing to deteriorate over the last year. Between the fatigue and the pain, its all I can do to function. FWIW, I think my former doc missed a prime chance to treat me for a tick-borne illness a few years back; now, I come home from the clinic and collapse into bed until the next morning, and can only work on the car as my energy/pain level permits on the weekends. The upshot is: I'm selling my '8. I'll post thread in the for sale forum, but its a 2004 GT sans NAV, 6MT, Moon Installed Blower, BHR Mid, Borla, buncha other stuff, but best of all, it only has 15.5K miles (as in fifteen thousand five hundred).

It'll take me a few days to get pics and stuff together, and I still have to finish the exhaust install, but its about as cherry as an '04 gets, and I guarantee its got the cleanest, most free seals you'll ever see. Ask me how I know

I suppose I should be crying about this, and yes, I hate to part with it, but I've got bigger problems and need the money. I'll wait a few days before I put it up on the for sale forum, if anyone has any questions, PM away, I'm starting at $24,500.

A few features: ExoticSpeed Header, BHR MidPipe, Borla Exhaust. New coils, just got BHR coil setup which I'll selll along with the car. Leather, excellent, RB front clip, clear corners, new wheels/tires (you'll have to wait until I get my sorry backside out of bed for pics and specs); RB oil line replacement kit (not yet installed), oil filter relocation kit, all weather deep well floor mats, Buddy Club condenser/grounding kit, Snow meth kit (to be installed), factory spare and mounting kit. BHR midpipe has extra bung for wideband. TransBrace/Diff Brace which will be installed. I have the factory fog light kit for fab and install.

My original intent for this car was a show car, but right now my health is not gonna let me do this any time soon. If you have any questions, PM me, I want you guys to have first stab at it before I put it up on fanboi central. I have the clear title in hand.

Thanks,

Wes

Don't know if it's Lyme or not, Charles; in this area in could be erlichosis or Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Once any of them go chronic, getting rid of them is damn near impossible, and it's too late in the process to make a definitive diagnoses. All I know is that I have a set of symptoms with no abnormal lab tests; I can function from about 7 am til maybe 2pm on a good day. The rest of the time is spent in bed. On good days, I can just lay there; on bad days, I just sort of pass out. On really bad days, well, let's just say if it wasn't for Vicodin, life would be unbearable. And it seems to be getting worse. Anyway, whatever it is has severely eaten into my ability to work, and I've got some big choices to make. Selling the 8 is just one of them, but it can't be helped. Any prayers would be appreciateated.

That is truly disheartening.
I hope you find a quick path to better health and comfort.

Damn Wes---didnt know man.
Chronic fatigue syndrome? ( Dont ANYBODY laugh) I have been in health care for 33 yrs and CFS is a real deal that the medical field is finally getting their collective heads out of their ***'s about. Sounds like it could be?
It sucks.
1st its real and misunderstood, so other people think the person is just psychologically messed up.
I had a friend that lost her professional career over this and finally after many years--she is starting to get better now that the medical folks have taken it more seriously.

Its just a car man, but the brotherhood never ends.
Hang in there---
Prayers

Damn, Zen, hate to hear about that garbage affecting any colleague. Two close friends have fibro, a sister has that along with neck disk degeneration, I don't question those so-called "invisible diseases" anymore.

Good luck with the sale, keep the faith!

Odd she should be suffering from neck disk degeneration - I just had an MRI and to quote my doc "the only thing I don't see wrong (yet) is pressure on the spinal cord." Good luck to your sister and friends. Too quote a line from the move Predator, "I wouldn't wish this on a broke-dick dog."

Whatever the heck that means ; )

ouch. Thats bad to hear Zen. Good luck.

A good friend of mine recently had a terrible condition they couldnt work out. It lasted 2 years + and at worst his whole body went into shutdown and he nearly died.

It turned out it started with a dentists injection hitting a nerve, then treating that, (they didnt know what, but were guessing) they gave him meds that he had a massive reaction too. He is now totally fine after a lot of trauma. Heres hoping they can sort you out nice and quickly!

Back in MI we had to be careful of ticks in the woods as they loved the deer and people. Lyme disease was a concern, sometimes, and a local newscaster contracted it long before he and his doctor were able to figure our what it was. I think he made a full recovery after a couple years. I will pray for your successful recovery.

I got lyme disease when I was a child, pretty sure I got it from one of the deer on Belle Isle, it was not good.
I got it treated quite quickly, but have seen the effects of long term untreated results.
OD, I work with a guy with DFS. He's a helper, and mostly ends up resting alot, but I don't mind.
Both are very bad and very real.
I have no God to talk to but I will surely keep my hopes that the fellas with PHD's can figure out your dillema for your health's sake.
