upgrading the injectors and ignition is a good idea for all of us really
the high boost setup really isn't that much of a difference from the low boost though
I've ran beside a few of them...as far as power goes it's about the same

Thats why I would rather run the Low boost setup. When ever I can get both the crank and blower pulleys I will buy them. But I really want to start driving my car. So the welded up crank pulley and smaller blower pulley it is for now until I can find the others. So in doing so I have to make these upgrades.

What injectors do you guys suggest? And I figure I'll get a S2 fuel pump. As far as ignition I figure 1 step colder plugs and BHR coils.

it's ridiculous some of the prices I've been offered for mine...well over retail
guess that's what happens when you have a low supply and high demand

Yes I did see his and if only I was close by I would have considered it. His is a special piece of kit requiring specialised know how and his skills to fit. I'm in the AUS so getting my hands on a stock unit would be preferable.

As for inflated ideas of value some may have on there SC I can understand given that no one has one on a production line. Tacmac over here has gone silent over here which I thought I was inline to receive one of there first 20 so I'd say they won't be bringing theirs to market. Blitz are available thru Nengun however there is little published on there unit in English.

So far I have everything on my Rx8 including street porting/ mono shock/ exhaust extractors.. Ete etc.. But no SC.....

Been welding up the one I started for the last month. Finaly found a reliable local welder. Its coming along great. I've also been plugging in flange dimensions into CAD. That's also making headway. I got a 3d printer for rapid prototyping. Tought myself CAD in that time as well. Picking up some wicked skills with this stuff. Molds will be around the corner, resin infusion molds that is.

I have been away for a little while. I had to decide and get my next car.
Well here it is....
http://www.donyaun.com/Dennys_Vette/IMG_2916.jpg

I havent even started to explore the limits of this car----in any gear
Ya'll do know it reaches 60 mph in 1st gear right?
So by flooring it in 2nd ( with traction control on and working) at about 30 it will jump to 80mph in a freaking heatbeat--the power builds and builds and keeps building. I havn't redlined it yet--really dont intend to redline it --no need.
It is really docile just during regular driving and until it reaches about 3-3.5k rpm you are saying "Where's the power?" But after that---holy crap. Then at about 4.5Krpms you say "Holy crap" AGAIN--then AGAIN at 5.5Krpms!
I mean seriously guys--there is no way you can control this amount of good old american muscle on a road coarse except on the straight's AFTER the chassis is fully settled. I need to develop some seriously sensitive right foot skills.

Now some of the differences between the Z and my RX8. Some of this may surprise some of you:
1- RX8--steering and braking are better. The transmission is better also. My supercharged RX8 had better throttle response---yep I said it. Its very evident. Not as much power--Hell no--but initial throttle response and linear response was better. The Z throttle response is a little like a boost lag turbo car until to get to a certain rpm--its strange at present.
The RX8 cloth seats are better for me--seats are a subjective thing. The RX8 and the Z are about the same as far as the overall weight is concerned. But the 8 drives sharper and lighter. I dont know how Mazda does that?
If the overall power was the same in the two chassis's /cars the RX8 would kick the Z's ***. Yes I said it.
2- Now the Z --of course has that damn engine!! Sweet! Its a bigger car but very light, but drives heavier. It's more solid feeling. It has more amenities--the navigation/stereo is pretty good--not great, but good. Its quiet until you dont want it to be, gets GREAT gas mileage, the track mode in the HUD is "Oh SNAP" with a built in G meter etc. You can access oil temps, coolant temps etc easily in the dash, it has voice recognition, sirrus radio, on star, the battery in the back away from the engine bay heat and has brand new pilot sport tires, a warranty, telescopic steering wheel, power memory seats and THE LOOKS

Now of course this is comparing oem chassis cars--no upgraded brake pads/fluid etc. Leave the engines overall power out of it.

I am sure there will be more to come--I have a lot to learn about this car--Oh Honey where is the key to my toolbox and have you seen my jackstands? So it begins.......

Agreed OD, I love driving my 8 better than the vette too. They're just too much fun!

Congrats on the new toy though.

I know some folks have been asking about a S1 pettit kit, and i've had some pms as well. I haven't decided what to do with the car yet. I'm considering everything from a part-out to sending it to Pettit for a complete makeover.

I'm also looking at 2007 - 2008 911 turbos and 2008 - 2010 M3s.

I am an anguished boy

Anyways, if you want to purchase the Petit kit, send me a pm. I have the COBB with some custom tunes, but I hear Pettit has their own so I would go that route. I also have the EFI dude.
