Picked up this 8 previously owned by ZenRX8 a couple of weeks ago. So it seems that I have joined the Petit owners club. Drove the car 11 hours home from Virginia to Missouri and enjoyed every minute of it. Already have plans for the car and loving the extra power right now. Feels like the car should have been this way from factory.

Ps, take it a little easy on it for the first few tanks, also run some fuel system cleaner through it.

Congratulations, that's been one of my favorite cars I've had my hand's on. It is a sweet car and Wess has almost made me **** myself in it, he likes those turns and I hate sitting in the passenger seat. Your pretty far away from me but if you ever need advice or just want to chat about your car feel free. I'll help you out as much as I can. Your lucky, Wess had a bunch of offers on that car. He's like me, I would never sell something like that to someone not mature enough to not kill himself in it. He told me about a few.

I have the BHR coils already installed actaully but havent started the car up with them yet, is it a bad idea to even drive the car before I adjust the dwell?
I would usually have no issue with that but the AP I have is telling me that "This vehicle is not supported by this version AP. I tried contacting Cobb but havent heard anything yet. Tried updating the Cobb and even though it updated still have the same issue.

Thanks for the advice and info Moon. I was happy to find out it was installed by you when Wes and I talked about it. Im sure some questions will arise at some point but I will get on the fuel system cleaner. I just got the BHR ignition installed and was hoping to do the meth kit before DGRR but getting it liscensed is my first priority.

From some of the experiences I've seen that others have had with the water meth I'd hold off on that. It's not good for any of the rubber. It's also been seen to wash the oil off the surfaces that need it causing your apex seal to were faster. If you decide to use it use very little. I like the idea of spraying it on your heat exchangers and not in your engine. That will bring your intake temps down as well as your engine temps.
I like that idea as well. I still have a lot of reading ahead of me.

Ok, call Kenny bell and ask there tech support about how the seals in the superchargers hold up to it.
There are a lot of cars making very high amounts of horsepower to the ground not using water meth. Diasio for instance. Lap after lap, no water meth. It's been a while and I'm not sure on current numbers but last I herd it was about 410hp to the ground. Lap after consistent lap, 410 to the ground, no water meth. I'm going back to building my s2 engine. Getting it ready for some serious ****. Run along team.

How about all the 2 rotor engines making 500+ hp on it long term. Last I heard Diasio engines had a limited lifespan followed by expensive rebuilds due to extensive internal heat damage, but like yourself I quit following their progress a long time ago ...

I had my supercharger rebuilt by Kenne Bell. When I bought it was used. When Kenne diagnosed the SC, they told me that they believed the person who had the SCmust have been using water/meth cause the seals inside the SC to fail.
Just some info on my SC.

Except that's not what you said or stated originally, is it? That may well be a valid point.

There's more than one way to skin a cat and it is an effectively proven way to control detonation, which when you're starting with a 10:1 compression engine that also doesn't like high EGT is something to take note of. That of course is a different debate for a different thread, so excuse me while I move on now ....
It certainly can, but much better to inject before the SC, a good mix of meth and water will vaporize when it hits the heat from the compressor. Just don't over do it. Doing it after the S/c is kinda iffy. Just had my car dynoed again by Steve Kan, and my po lil 6 speed auto still pulling 240 plus at the wheels. All we saw was a kooler intake, the car was not tuned to use the mix.
Remember the saying, a little goes a long ways. We are not trying to have a monster. Our poor lil 1.3 is bad enuff.

There are ppl that will tune your car by mail, LMAO. PLS just throw money out the window

My car started up fine and drove home gingerly around 25 miles (shout out to 200mph for following me home).
Honstly, the EFI dude tune was great. If I had to do it all over again, I would leave the 8psi pulley on, the EFI dude tune running, and the stock injectors on.
To be fair, the car "felt" more responsive once I could go full throttle again. But it was a few weeks so my butt dyno wasnt so great.

I figured I would ask here instead of making a new thread what Lysholm model supercharger is used in the Pettit kits? (sorry just realized there was a better thread to put this question in)
